The staff were very friendly and accommodating but this was not worth the price. Gas and small convenience store were handy. The Cotton Wood Market is a great place to pick up some groceries and it was only 1.5 miles away. I wish we could say this resort had a good vibe, but it did not meet expectations for the cost.

The giant sign that says must wear masks is a complete lie. The man and a long timer were standing there with chin straps on and didn’t even have the decency to put them on correctly when I walked in. I asked for a map. He asked of what. 🤦♀️ Texas. We had no WiFi so I needed a map. He said no. I said how about an atlas. He said no. I asked about the horse back riding across the street, he told me to go ask them! Some resort and adventures! Total turn off. Will never stay at this hole again. Don’t go in the bathrooms. Gross. The long timers love to just stare, made me uncomfortable. They say WiFi but that’s a crock also. There’s no such thing. I had better WiFi deep in the park! I would never stay here again and never recommend it. They call themselves a resort and adventures place but I would never put them on that category!

Close to big bend. Seemed like the nicer of the nearby RV parks. It was nice to have a shade tree over our site. NO WIFI and limited 3G service. Didn’t use bathrooms or showers. Water pressure is lower than our onboard pump, but we still used it.

We ended up camping here when we couldn't establish use privileges at a local boondocking site. The entire area was just opening up amidst COVID-19 so there were only 4-5 other RVs in the main park. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Raul at the front desk was able to give us some great places to visit with our young children that were easily accessible to little kids. The shop, shower, and, laundry hours were all modified due to COVID 19 which was inconvenient, but the security offered to open the bathrooms for us when we neede them. The picnic tables were freshly stained, and bathrooms extremely clean. The Showers were prepaid for $2 but lasted a LONG time, at least 10-15 minutes. There was security around in the evening and throughout the night as well as a sheriff deputy staying on property overnight which was very nice. There are 2 main highways that form a T in front of the resort. When vehicles entered one highway at night, their lights shown right into our camper, but choosing another spot would have changed that dramatically. There was more traffic then we expected given how sparsely populated the park was. We saw other RV parks in the area, but this one looked the nicest. We did not have cell service for about an hour drive prior to reaching the site, as well as throughout our time there. Wifi was available for free and we could pick it up at our site.

The booking process was easy and efficient. We booked this location months in advance as it was one of the few places close to Big Bend National Park. With that said the condition of this RV park is pretty bad. You are essentially paying $44 or more to park in a dusty lot. There are numbered spaces but that is about it. Our spot was nestled in between the back ally of a gas station along with about half a dozen dumpsters. The bathrooms are just shared public restrooms that include a shower that you pay for in coins- $2 for six minutes. Speaking of bathrooms - one of two stalls looked like a murder scene and the other toilet did not flush. There is also what looked to be a water treatment facility next door that made plenty of noise all night long- akin to someone running a generator for 12 hours. It’s only competition was incessant dog barking.

If it were priced closer to the average in town we would have stayed.

We stayed here for a week in early March 2019 while we were visiting Big Bend National Park. Our site 53 was very unlevel, pad was gravel, and a back in site, although they have lots of pull-throughs for larger rigs. The site was FHU, 30/50 amp and it wasn’t on top of neighbors but it wasn’t spacious either. Water pressure was quite low. Wifi did not work for us, Verizon was sketchy, sometimes 3G, 1 or 2 bars. The sewer opening was broken so we couldn’t screw in our connector – had to use the drop in kind. It had a picnic table and grill. There is a gas station/convenience store right there. If we were to visit this area again I think we would find something different.

In our research we considered staying at Study Butte RV park and after driving by it we're so glad we chose this campground instead - there's no comparison. We were in the area specifically to experience Big Bend National Park, and this campground met our needs perfectly. Our first day in the park we dropped the RV at Panther Junction visitor center (which was closed thanks to the shutdown) and drove to Boquillas Canyon, Hot Springs and other trails on the east side. After that, everything else we wanted to see and do was easily manageable from this RV park location. We've learned words like "park" and "resort" are to be taken with a grain of salt. As others have mentioned, this is a big sand parking lot, but you're in the middle of the desert. Sites are pretty close to each other, but we were only there in the early morning and later in the evening. Interior roads are some of the widest we've seen, very easy to navigate to our back-in site, somewhat level. Internet in the game room was fast during our stay, and sufficient for checking weather and researching hikes. We had no Verizon signal at our site, which was fine since that's what we expected and planned for.

We have camped a lot across the country both in state and private parks. I typically give RV Park owners a wide degree of latitude on their reviews and providing reasonable facilities. When I was researching this place Before coming out here, I found mixed reviews. I can honestly say this park far is the worst “resort” I have ever spent money at and will not be back.
This campground is located conveniently off of the highway and obviously caters to the transient traveler that are visiting Big Bend. The rates they charge are very high and you get very little in amenities. I guess common courtesy costs extra but I didn’t see that as an option when I booked my site.
The RV sites give you a place to hook up and thats about it. The sites really close, gravel pads which are kinda level and they mixed in with tent campers and cabin/motel rooms. This was a fun experience. The shouting, dog barking, flash light beams in your eyes and having your minor daughter get to see a grown man pee behind their dumpster. This is one classy “resort”.
Cell service is spotty out here and you would think that a “resort” would at least have WiFi at their rates. Nope. The only place you can access WiFi is in their “clubhouse” behind the office.
I found that there are a bunch of other places in the area that cater to RV’rs. Just sayin.

The woman in the office told us that we would be able to us the wifi for whatever we needed (work, etc.), this was the main reason we came to the park. But as with any RV park, it left much to be desired, it worked better in the wee hours when others seemed to be sleeping.
It was closely located to Terlingua Ghost Town and Big Bend, so it served it's purpose. The park also offers is a laundry room... However, I don't really recommend it. Both times I've used it (3 years apart), my money has been stolen from the machines, the clothes come out soaking wet but still dirty from the washers, then some dryers don't dry while others burn.
I said we could camp here again but mostly that's because there aren't too many other options.
