It is convenient that there is a store, restaurant, gas station, and laundry all right here. There claim for free Wi-Fi is kind of shady because it doesn't work from our RV. I'm writing this review in the "game room" to get service. Cell reception around here is fine.
Big Bend is only about 10 minutes down the road so its a good location to explore the park. Big Bend is big, so it would be nice to find a place in the park where we can still get good cell and internet and be more centrally located. But it seems cell is weak in the park. Even from here though we can make it to the far side of the park in a hour, with a bit of speeding.
The people that run the park are very nice and accommodating. I would be glad to stay here longer, but I shouldn't get use to the luxury's of plugged in camping, the $26.50 with Good Sam discount, is more than I like to spend. And I think I may have found a great boon docking spot just down the road that still has good cell service. I'll post on how it turns out.
So we boondock camped for a week down Indian Head Rd. and it was a great spot. Indian Head Rd. is the road right next to Big Bend Resort and Adventures, if you drive the dirt road a mile or two to where it ends there is a turn around area at the end where we camped. Cell and internet still worked well here and it was a lot prettier than the RV park. I posted a picture of this area with our rig.

We chose to stay here because of internet. The campgrounds inside the parks have zero coverage, and here you will "technically" have internet. Even though you're right at the entrance to the park, it's still about a 30-40 minute drive to the visitor center headquarters (Big Bend is huge). So it's not close. If we didn't need internet for work, we definitely would have tried for one of the campgrounds in the park - they are much closer to the attractions.
That being said, this is a good spot. Full hook-ups. Nothing fancy in terms of the extra amenities, they do have a little store and a gas station. It was a good spot while we explored the park and squeezed in a little work.
