Since we weren’t camping we didn’t want to do that but it was easy to find, Apple Maps took us right there. I could see a nice, flat space from the gate. We are camping just 2 minutes down the road at the Escapees campground and the area is really nice and quiet! We would definitely boondock there.
When I came back to leave this info about the permit, I saw at the bottom of the page that you can purchase a permit online.

State Trust Land. Need to open the gate to enter, but it's super easy to access and find. Nice, level areas to park my van. (Minivan camper). Super smooth dirt roads initially. I didn't travel too far in. Mediocre Verizon service. I came here after I went to Ghost Town Road BLM nearby but there was zero cell service. If you don't drive... more

Amanda would stay here again

I don’t recommend this spot for RV or trailer camping. The dirt road in had a few large washes that caused us to hit our rear stabilizer jack going in. We also had a few friends get stuck coming in and going out in the wash to camp. If you are looking to stay here, I would scout the road in first to see if you will have clearance. We only saw one other trailer camping the whole time we were there. The rest of the traffic was day users off-roading or hunting. We had a great spot and it was extremely quiet at night. There are a lot of great trails here. It is AZ State Trust land so you will need a permit to access the area. We had ok Verizon cell coverage. We used a mobile router with external antenna on ATT to be able to work and stream, but even that was not above 5Mbps down and around 1Mbps up. We would love to go back, but with the wash clearance issues we would not camp here again.
