"Don't even think about coming here without calling ahead."
We did not camp here. There are only 6 "cabin" sites and 2 rv sites that we could even see. Sites were very close together. Poor signage; we couldn't find an office or host. However it might be a pleasant place to stay because of the nearby creek.
"A little scary by yourself maybe if you had a group"
I found it scary I thought for sure my stuff would be stolen or there would be some kind of issue. The people that I saw camping. There seemed quite possibly homeless not house and there were abandoned vehicles with tickets on them and trash and it was just very sketchy.
Very nice campground, nicely spaced, paved sites. You just can't beat national forest campgrounds in my opinion. The only complaints I could make are that the train horn is pretty frequent and, the bathroom, while looking pretty clean, smelled heavily of urine.
