“Great tucked away spot”

If you make it past the allure of the free dispersed camping all along the road to the campground, its a great place to land. Sites aren't too tightly spaced, especially if you stick to those on the outside of the loops. Pine beetle has done some damage, but still plenty of shade at 90% of the sites. Hosts were helpful, but not intrusive. sites and bathrooms were VERY clean. Hand crank well station for water, and all the peace and quiet you could want. Arrived mid- afternoon on a Saturday, and the campground was still only 1/4 full. Didn't fill up much more later either. Use the bear boxes as wildlife is heavy in the area, bu thats kinmda the point anyway, right?

Amazing have gone there for years and wildlife everywhere! We've seen over the summer multiple male, female and babies of Moose, Elk, Deer, Porcupines, Black bears, Beaver, Eagles bald and golden, Owls ect.... Great fishing, hiking, wildlife photography or watching nearby. Be Bear Aware and protect yourself and them educate yourself about Precautions and safety for a great trip.
