You are FAR away from anything, so great views of the sky, mountains on all sides, and the sound of the creek at night. The only draw back for us was how far away you are from anything, so be prepared when you head that way and don't plan on making a lot of resupply trips.
The road in was excellent and the whole area is BEAUTIFUL! This is high on my list of places to stay again if we are in that part of Colorado!

You can camp in the middle of the wide-open field like we chose to do or in the trees depending on your needs. There is zero cell phone service from any provider. Starlink worked great. There are three entrances to Mill Creek Area (FS 103a). I would recommend you use the third one (most north). The other two are pretty bad with deep potholes and were filled with water most of our stay.

The color here cannot be beat! The aspens were amazing and out site was just close enough to the river we could hear it babbling. Just a few other rigs in the area, nice and peaceful. The hiking was very nice and we saw moose!
The road in had just a few bumps, doable for all but the lowest clearance rigs.
No cellphone service but Starlink took care of us.
Will definitely be back.
