“Nice - But Pricey & Not State Park Like”

Reviewed Feb 17, 2018

Overall Rating

We knew going in that this wasn't a typical Florida State Park, and was one of the higher priced ones in the park system. Would definitely recommend trying to snag a site in the 100 loop if you can - the sites seemed larger and more private back there. Ours was ok, but definitely more of a feel of a RV Park than a state park. ... more

“Nice Campground ”

Reviewed Jan 22, 2018

Overall Rating

We stayed here 14 nights in January in our 5th wheel. Sites are unlike other FL state parks in that they are very close together. Our site was level and had a concrete pad and patio. Most sites are shaded so it limits satellite use - although the park provides cable. The beach was beautiful, even in the cooler weather, and there ... more

“Best Option Between Seaside & Destin”

Reviewed Apr 01, 2017

We loved this park. Full RV park in a wooded park setting...the best of both worlds. It's really an RV park...it even has a small pool. We loved our site, way in the back of the campground. I know that I would not have been nearly as happy if I was towards the front or on the main road...those sites get a ton of traffic. We were shaded... more

The park and the surrounding towns have something for everyone. This campground is great for the person that likes to paddle, hike, bike and for the person that likes to eat out, shop and go to the movies. There are miles of beautiful beach with bleach white sand. The two lakes have hiking trails. There are bike paths to the beach and t... more

We really liked this park. It used to be a private resort so, everything is really taken care of. Nice concrete pads, 30 & 50 amp posts and nice landscaping. Big rig friendly. Nice walk to beach or they have a shuttle service too. Winter time in Destin FL! You would think it would be crowded in Florida. Pleasantly surprised it was not... more

Worth the price for the full hookups, neat pads and site, and other amenities. Quiet, yet very near great little towns like Watercolor and Seaside for shops and restaurants. The volunteers run an hourly shuttle to the beautiful beach (about a 1mile walk) and are extremely friendly and helpful. We live just west of the panhandle and ... more

Read my full review in the blog link above! We stayed here last June on a spur of the moment trip. We lucked out and got the last site available...but I'd stay in the same site again in a heartbeat. I think it was one of the best sites. The campground has great amenities for being a state park...pool, live music, movie night, games,... more
