We found ourselves over memorial day weekend in a pinch. The city of Destin does not allow for overnight camping so our Cracker Barrel plans went out the window, looked for a last-minute spot, and I was able to book this place online after hours we met the property manager, Sherry, that same night at the pool. We asked her if there was any availability for the remainder of memorial day weekend, and though she said she was, but she said she would try to find a way for us to stay and she did! Sherry was incredibly kind and incredibly accommodating to me and my family on our vacation. Disregard the other negative reviews of this place, this is a gem. Close to Destin and the Emerald Coast. They even offer a shuttle to the beach if you don’t wanna drive your car or if you don’t have a car. They have a nice swimming pool and outdoor fire pit area and they even put cornhole boards out to play. I couldn’t be happier with our stay.

“Brand New, Super Clean, Great Potential”

We camped here (1st time) for 2-weeks in a pull-thru site near the pool, Class A Motorhome with a towd vehicle, 2 seniors, no kids, no pets. As a brand new facility one would expect some new property issues. As it stands today, calling 30A a resort is a stretch. To be fair, Ill try to focus on what I think should be easy fixes. 1) there are zero signs on Hwy 331, Hwy 98, or 393 indicating a RV park. Perhaps written directions on the web-site?
2) We were greeted by the only on-site employee who was friendly enough. He handed us a copy of the park rules but did not have a channel guide for the cable tv, no map of the park, no reminder of the parks 100psi water pressure needing a regulator, no reminder that the streetlights are on all night and shades may be needed. When asked, he provided a handwritten notation of the WiFi codes (which proved to be near useless at individual campsites or the pool area.)
3) New and functional umbrellas for the 2 tables by the pool would be nice.
4) the only employee(s) we saw stayed in the office, presumably to answer phones and emails. Perhaps they could ride the park in a golf cart a couple times a day, talk to RVrs, maybe even pick up trash as is common in a resort park. While we did not use it, we understand the employee drives guests in a shuttle over to the beaches and activities on 30A, a big plus if you havent a car.
As the facility matures, I submit the following for consideration:
1) Expand WiFi to individual sites. Many folks work from home even when home is an RV.
2) consider offering ice, propane, perhaps water and soft drinks for sale.
3) consider privacy landscape plantings between sites. Consider line-of-site shields around sewer and pedestal hook-ups between sites.
4) consider planting trees which, over time, will offer some shade at campsites. Or put up tables & umbrellas.
5) judging what we saw, the sand lot adjacent to the pool could be an issue if cats and other critters use it for nature calls.
6) the individual campsites are clean, large and beautiful. Plenty of length for the RV and our towd, wide enough for several chairs alongside the RV. Perhaps consider adding metal or concrete tables & chairs (with umbrellas for shade in lieu of trees) on the patio areas!
7) The cable tv is among the clearest we have experienced! Excellent! A channel guide would be helpful.
8) Hwy 393 is 2-lanes and quite busy in the morning and evening traffic peaks. Getting into the park in a big rig without running over the concrete islands is interesting.
9) The neighborhood is a blend residential/commercial; a gated entry would be nice.
We camped at 30A Luxury RV Resort in a Motorhome.
