The sites on that side of the loop are gravel and we were impressed that they are raked before each new traveler arrives. Be careful when booking bc the lower loop of sites are tight/low hanging trees…it’s stated on the website fyi. Having full hook ups at a state park was so awesome!!
We stayed for a week in august. We only had our motor home and bikes. If we did it again we would have either towed a vehicle or planned to rent a golf cart. The golf carts are like $150/day (yikes!) but you can drive them on 30A. The closest shops/restaurants are in the town of Grayton Beach and it’s 1.5 miles on bike…not bad if it’s morning or evening but brutal in the daytime sun.
Also the beach is a 1/2 mile away. So we rode our bikes each day but it got a little cumbersome. A bike trailer would have been helpful. There is no camp store. You can buy ice and firewood at the rangers station and that’s it. I can’t say enough how gorgeous the beach and sand dunes are!!

The campsites are private, level, lots of room, small graveled lots so no worry about sand or dirt getting everywhere. We stayed 5/6/23 and it was $30/night. Full hook ups, decent bath house. Coin washer and dryers. We took the motorcycle to the beach access. It was a short walk from the parking lot to the beach. The beach was beautiful, quiet, perfect! We only wish we would have known about this place sooner!

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #56, FHU, BI sites for $42/night. Roads are asphalt and sites are gravel. It was easy to navigate with the hardest curve right at the entrance by the ranger station. There was a large “front yard," lots of foliage around the site giving a lot of privacy even though spaces were fairly close. I needed one board under one side to get level due to the gravel being packed down. Bathhouse was clean and warm. Many sites are open to the sun on the first loop. The far loop gets more shade. Those sites looked harder to get into (road was gravel also.) Some have views of the lake and dunes. It is a quiet park. I had 2-3 bars LTE with Verizon, 22.4 mbps download speed, a small handful of OTA channels and no wifi. I definitely enjoyed staying at this park and will come back again. The sites I would prioritize choosing include: #41 in the first loop and in the second loop – 14,18, 26, 28, 30 and 34 was okay.

This is in my top 5 camp sites. We were in spot 55 and 33. Both had tons of vegetation for privacy. The staff was excellent. We had no noise issues and the facilities were spotless.

Great little place to stay with all the hook ups and slides were very clean. Plenty of trees and shrubbery around for privacy.

Super nice registration staff. Had space 10 which was easy to back in. Great secluded space, even though close together there is great vegetation between spots. Even though late November still had to watch for snacks

The beach was about 3/4 mile from our campsite, so we either rode our bikes or drove there every day. The water was chilly, but not awful at that time of year. As mentioned by others, there are great bike paths all around the area.
We stayed in the newer loop and didn't have any issues with it not feeling private enough. The folks around us were considerate and there were a fair amount of trees and bushes around us. We used the washer and dryer in our loop a couple times, which was super-convenient. Our site was level and easy to get set up in.
The area surrounding the park could get quite congested with traffic and people -- I can't imagine 30A in the summer! We mainly just enjoyed hanging out at the gorgeous beach and riding our bikes.
It's really difficult to get reservations, but go for it. So worth it! Watch the site lengths, particularly in the older loop. The sites there look much more private and are lovely, but some of them didn't look nearly large enough to accommodate a large 5th wheel or a Class A unit. Most would have been fine for our 26-ft camper, but that would have been the limit for several of them.

Stayed here the week before Christmas 2021. We got lucky with the weather as we could walk barefoot on the beach most nights after 9pm. Decent privacy between sites, and plenty to do locally on the 30A. Staff was great, facilities were well maintained.
