Newer campground, well landscaped and clean. The spot was long, level and wide. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We were close to the fenced dog area (we have a 4 month old puppy) and there was a paved pathway around the park we walked on several times a day. This park is very dog friendly. Newer campground, well landscaped and clean. The spot was long, level and wide. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We were close to the fenced dog area (we have a 4 month old puppy) and there was a paved pathway around the park we walked on several times a day. This park is very dog friendly.
There are a couple ponds that are stocked with fish periodically. There also is a family "fun" center just up the road. There were several spots open each night and it looked like folks were stopping for the night on their travels.
When sitting outside you can hear the freeway but we never noticed it when we were inside our trailer.

The park staff was very nice and friendly. We stayed in the back part of the park ( further away from the freeway) near the showers . Very clean park. The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars was because the showers. They were clean but, not very big . I had to use one of the handicapped one( reg. one I couldn’t get the door to lock , ot... more

The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars was because the showers. They were clean but, not very big . I had to use one of the handicapped one( reg. one I couldn’t get the door to lock , other handicappped ones were available ) and in those there is no divider to keep the water from spraying on your clothes . I had to be very careful not to spray water everywhere . The bathrooms with the toilet & sink were very clean and spacious . We would definately stay again.

This park is so new that they haven't even finished building the office yet! I was impressed with the condition of the facilities. The sites were easy to get into. In fact, most of the sites were pull-through. The roads and the pads were asphalt and the patios, complete with tables and futuristic fire pits were cement. The land... more
This park is so new that they haven't even finished building the office yet!
I was impressed with the condition of the facilities. The sites were easy to get into. In fact, most of the sites were pull-through. The roads and the pads were asphalt and the patios, complete with tables and futuristic fire pits were cement.
The landscaping was beautiful. All of the trees that they have planted are young, but I like the fact that they are thinking ahead.
The bathhouses were wonderful! Everything was clean and fresh.
The one caveat I have is that they have signs on stakes warning you not to drive on the grass. When I was chatting with a maintenance worker, he explained that a driver had turned the wrong way when leaving the site and drove on the grass. The ground is still soft, and it sank up to the axle. It took several hours to get the vehicle out. I imagine it did a number on the grass, too.
I visited at an off time, but I would recommend making a reservation during the tourist season or when there are events at the Jackson County Expo Center next door.
