“Fun for kids, great waterfall. Facilities could use some repairs.”

Fun for kids, great waterfall and lake bordering the campground. Little to no cell on Verizon and T-Mobile. Multiple sites flooded when it rained. Only 2 of the showers were working.

Lots are smaller than we would have liked, but “do-able.” Very poor to non-existent Wi-Fi and cell service (Verizon) but we suffered no irreparable damage by not having either for a week.
The pros outweighed the cons and I would absolutely return.

We also enjoyed the pool area and the DJ providing entertainment. We didn’t tube but if we stayed longer we would have. We didn’t catch anything in the fishing pond but my 13 yo enjoyed it. My 5 yo enjoyed the playgrounds too! It was close to Grand Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. The WI-FI isn’t good…nor is Verizon or DISH TV. So a long term stay is not feasible for a work site.

Cell reception in the valley is expectedly weak so don’t expect to be on your phone during your stay. Pool looked inviting and the trout in the stocked pond were descent size. Full hook-up sites are at a premium but they all have electric and water. Sites are a bit tight but not terrible. The park had a lot of visitors during the week but filled up Friday nite. The campers seemed to be having a great time. Overall we had a good stay and would stay again. It was only $47 a night for our back-in W/E site.

Overall a nice campground but we were disappointed at no cable and very poor Verizon service. After leaving, we discovered we left our surge protector, a $200 item. I called and left a message, hoping they would send it to us but no one bothered to call me back. We would have paid the cost.

This is a great family campground in the Shenandoah Valley. Pool, playgrounds, pavilion, camp store, snack bar, clean bath houses, tubing river and lots of tame rabbits…
If you have a prey driven dog be advised… lots of rabbits… cell service is marginal at the top end and non existent in the bottom end of the campground.

We got to go to the pool, it was very full but we didn’t mind at all again everyone was very considerate. Great bathroom facilities and check in process. Not really any hiking trails near the grounds but we still really enjoyed our stay!

There are many standard fare activities for the kids, including a small, but stocked pond, mini golf (course was relatively basic, but in good shape), horseshoe pits and a nice sized playground and pool (both of these were closed due to COVID).
But what makes the campground more unique is the river tubing. Located in the center of a u-turn spot of the river, campers can enter at one end of the campground and tube to the other end (25-45 minutes depending on speed of the river.
One other difference is the large rabbits that roam the campground. Our youngest really enjoyed following them around and feeding them.
We stayed during the week and the campground was only about 20% to capacity. Sites weren’t overly large and I don’t know what it looks like at capacity.
The most challenging issue with the campground is the available WiFi and weak cell service. We are Verizon phone users and my truck’s WiFi is from AT&T. We had very weak signals from both and couldn’t get in the WiFi at all. If you need WiFi, be sure to tell them when making a reservation. They said the sites closest to the store get some reception.
One other challenge is the website itself. Very outdated and challenging to navigate. They could definitely upgrade it.
Our family had a great time, even with connectivity challenges.

Pros; Nice playgrounds, large pool. There is a stocked pond and a wonderful river with a waterfall. They have tubes you can float down the river on! Looked like a lot of fun. There is a nicely stocked store. The park is great for family fun.
Cons; Not really big rig friendly. We have a 35 foot class A. After pulling away from the office you have to turn right on a narrow lane. The shoulder is washed out leaving a pretty good drop off on the right side. The lane is a little washed out as well. We made it fine but not sure about a rig bigger than ours. You have so drive quite a way on narrow roads to get to your sight. Many trees and branches to avoid. Ours was a pull through. Very narrow. Really not enough room for a fire pit. Just a picnic table and your awning.
Now for internet, there is barley any. Patchy phone service as well.
Bathrooms are far from most sites and the laundry room was small only 4 washers and two were out of order. For the price of this place it should have more updates. Not on our go back list.
