Seward Military Resort

This campground is for military only. This was $42 (E6 pay grade) for a tight parking spot squeezed in between other campers. We hear helicopters throughout the night so getting a peaceful night sleep was difficult. They did have clean showers with hot water and good water pressure but it was an open changing area— I didn’t want to feel like was back in basic training while camping. Everything was controlled by a key card. They did have a playground and laundry and rv dump.

This is a very well kept, beautiful military resort. We stayed in travel trailer. The spots were mostly level and gravel. Sites alternate between pull in and back in. Each has electric and water, and there is a dump station on site. Stand alone bathrooms were clean and nice. The location is fantastic, allowing short drives (or longer walks) to hiking, the harbor, and restaurants. Our favorite attraction was salmon snagging with Duane, the camp host. All necessary equipment is available for rent or purchase at the supply building, and you can clean, package, and freeze your fish for a small fee at the fish house on site. Amazingly well thought out operation! Wish the charters would come back!
