Sacandaga Campground

We enjoyed our stay at this park mainly because of the deep wooded private site backed right up on the river. It was hot and we would just soak in the river for a while to cool off, which was very nice. Of course, it was a little buggy, but we had our screen house, so it was bearable. I'm rating this cg a little lower mainly due to the difficulty in parking and the bathrooms could use updates. Backing into many of the deeper waterfront sites in our area would be moderately difficult, so be careful what site you pick and be prepared for marriage counselling. We have Total Wireless cell service and were disappointed to discover that we had no service. I know camping should be all about disconnecting, but it's hard to be out of contact when you have responsibilities at home and making plans for day trips is also difficult. So be prepared to be offline while camping.
