Wonderful place. Very clean. The only downside is that it's right next to Hwy 34, so you will hear vehicles accelerating and decelerating (with Jake brakes) in and out of town. Spend some money in town, leave a donation, and pick up a little trash to say "thanks".

I confirmed in May 2024 that they permit overnight parking in their lot, so long as we don't block anyone or anything. Ask inside to be sure. It's pretty close to the main drag, so it's a bit noisier than the nearby Walmart. Shop inside or buy some propane to say thanks.

This is a beautiful forested campground with large and mostly private sites. Asphalt roads are in very good condition. Bathhouses are basic but clean. However shower water is not hot, just warm. Nice to be back as we took a surprise turn north to avoid the huge winds forecast for Albuquerque and northern Arizona.
