“Peaceful And Quiet - Camp Spots Are Small”

Got there on a Sunday night. Only 1 of the 15 spots was taken. It’s quiet and the camp host is very nice, but I would not want to be here when all the sites are taken. Site 13 is paved and perfectly flat. One bar with Verizon, but hooked up booster and was able to work from RV.

Needed a place to camp with family for Purdue Family weekend - and this was perfect! Just 9 miles from campus, it worked out perfect for us. Shower house is big, modern and clean. Tent camping up to big rigs. I think there are only 15 sites. Electric only but dump station and fresh water easily accessible. Firewood restrictions and strict camp rules, I believe camp hosts and sheriff deputy are housed on-site. Very friendly and well run. No frills camping, decent size gravel sites, fairly level. Beautiful woodland all around as well as large open spaces. Nice picnic table and small fire pit. Verizon wireless only got 1-2 bars but adequate enough for what we needed.

Park and facilities are well maintained. Sites only have power. No water or sewer, but they have 2 potable water fill stations and a dump station so no big deal. The higher your site number the better the site IMO. Fairly level sites, quiet and peaceful. AT&T was 2-3 bars depending on where you are at in the park.

A few single tent sites are available in their primitive area as well as a group tenting site all having only a couple hundred feet walk from parking. Hiking trails through a creek area are hilly terrain but a nice view. Dump station. Verizon cell phone service was good. 15 minute drive from the west end of Purdue University. Some locals camp there regularly throughout the season. All in all, a nice place to stay for a night if you’re in the area.

This campground is very small, a little remote (although close to amenities), and a fun, peaceful get away. They have electric only, but a nice shower house. It is on the grounds with a camp and a little chapel so they often have weddings but far enough removed from the campground that it makes no difference. Very pretty grounds with lots of trees, a few short trails, a catch and release pond, and a disc golf course. There is also a regular golf course close to the entrance to the camp. There is a fresh water fill and dump station. We have Verizon 3G and we had cell service. No wifi. Spotty TV reception.
