We camped on site 17 by the water for a week. Views are amazing. You can see the lake from three sides. This campground is electric only, so refills of water and dumping tanks required disconnecting and a little driving if you're staying long enough to need that. We're in a 27-foot Class A, so we had no trouble with our site or with the campground. There is extra space for additional vehicles close by.
Life is all about tradeoffs. The view, the wildlife, the breeze coming off the water, the sound of waves lapping all come with the price of a little less privacy and solitude. The marina is nearby, and boats are going by constantly. The swimming area is next to our site. There are even folks just cruising the loop by the edge of the water. Nothing really bad, just the tradeoff.
Since this is less than an hour from our home, we'll definitely be back. We got a half-price senior discount, so we only paid $11 per night. If we find a little more quiet site, it might be heaven.

Nice typical Army Corp Campground on the edge of the South End of Beaver Lake. Felt safe thru out our visit. The area we stayed in was the older campground and there is a newer campground below us on the waters edge. Our area worked well for Grandkids riding their bikes and hoverboards and being within view. Plenty of trees and playground. Vault toilets, older but clean for their age. No odor. Electric only, water nearby. Be careful choosing sites, some are very sloped and seen several with shared driveways, making it very tight when coming in or leaving. our Site #36 was very easy to back into and level once down in the site. Our trailer is 22", a lot of the sites would be difficult for bigger rigs. Dump station by the entrance, again older, but wide open with lots of room and functional. We will go back!

Park is typical corp of engineers park. Long, slow, steep and winding road in to lain gate and then another ling slow steep winding drive ip to sites unless your fortunate enough to get one of the few on the lower level. Upper level has no view at all during the summer, but probably nice during spring g through winter with no leaves on the treesI LOTS of ticks. Sites for big rigs are very limited and most are very tricky to maneuver into. We were not able to get level and were nose up enough that sink would not drain properly. Pads are asphalt and not in great condition. On the upside , very quiet and peaceful. Electric at the site but water only at central spickets in each section. Verizon signal was excellent and At&t was passable. Picked up 7 OTA digital channels.
