Our first time in AR and we enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness here.
Sites are all slabs and level but some sites do have a steep entrance for smaller vehicles.

Stayed her while visiting Rogers. Beautiful spot by many lakes. AT&T 4 bars zoom and streaming worked great . Water wasn’t on yet so that was a bummer but, there is water and dump site on entering so not an issue. Also no dumpster out yet so Don was great at picking up the trash daily….what a job😳

Pretty deserted late November/early December because water is turned off. Restrooms and showers closed. Great for those needing only electricity as there are few campers.

Horseshoe Bend Campground is a beautiful site on Beaver Lake outside of Roger’s AR and convenient to Bentonville AR & Eureka Springs AR. The camp host were very friendly and helpful. Many of the sites are waterfront and are large. Weekends are busy, but was quiet at night and lots of positive energy and excitement during the day. Our site (#157) is lakeside. It was a little tricky backing into, but easily doable. The park is old, but well maintained. We did not use the park toilets or bath houses
We will definitely stay here again…

Some of the sites had open water views and those seem to book up months and months out. 108 is a good alternative if you have the right view from your rig though. Some of the sites had no water views but good access to bath houses and other campers. For us right now, we like the quiet peace of this spot that makes us feel like we are the only ones here most of the time.
This is an asphalt 50A site with water connection. Both connections are slightly down the hill about 25-30 feet from us. Level enough not to need any leveling side to side for our 37' RV. Barely enough room for the truck in front of the camper though. I would not go bigger than 37' and plan to park the truck in front as well. Picnic table, fire ring, a decent walk to restrooms and showers but not terribly far. The asphalt is a bit broken up but still managed to be level. Metal picnic table and fire ring. Many sites in this park don't have water connections, so pick carefully. This one does.
Deer all over here during the day and in the evenings. They are quite comfortable being around humans.
Twisty turny roads into the park itself but they are beautiful roads.
Checkin was easy, dump station right at guard gate. They asked for our site number
Some sections of the campground has RV sites completely underwarer. Unsure if this is a permanent thing or if the lake is just really high right now.
Cellular service is good on AT&T (10+ Mbps), decent on Verizon (5-15), bad on Sprint (.5-1.5) and Tmobile had quite variable speeds but better than Sprint (5-30 at times on Tmobile).
You can hear the birds in the forest chirping a lot and when it is lightly raining, it sounds a bit like a rainforest with the forest sounds and the birds. Lovely and peaceful.

We enjoyed our stay in this COE campground. The signage within the campground was poor, but we asked some kind campers for help to find our site, and they gave us their campground map because they were leaving the next day. Lesson learned -- next time we'll have to be sure to ask for a map when checking in somewhere if we're not given one. Finding the available water spigots was also difficult, but again, other campers to the rescue. Turned out it was very convenient, but without the help of a fellow camper, we'd have ended up driving in circles trying to find it or heading back to check with the camp host.
Once we were settled in, we quite enjoyed our stay. The campground has some extremely flooded areas, but our loop wasn't affected -- sites in the 80's. Our site was level and had an electric hookup. We enjoyed having 1-2 bars LTE on our T-Mobile and Sprint phones. Our $11 rate was half the usual cost due to our Golden Age pass.
If you are interested in the tourist-y type Arkansas things, you might prefer to stay nearer to Eureka Springs, which is about an hour's drive from Horseshoe Bend Campground, according to Google Maps. Even some of the more popular Beaver Lake hikes are closer to Eureka Springs than to Horseshoe Bend Campground. We did go to War Eagle Cavern and enjoyed a tour shared with us by Lance. The tours at that cave allow dogs on leashes, so that worked out well for us and our pupster, Hugo. It's only about a 15-minute drive into Rogers, AR, from the campground. We met friends there at a restaurant and enjoyed walking around downtown and getting coffee there, too. Nice area -- brick streets and lots of rehab going on without too much "modernizing" of the facades and the area.
We left on a Friday late morning and encountered a line at the one dump station. Things were REALLY picking up at the campground by Thursday evening, so I can't speak to how loud it would likely be on weekends. I'm sure, given their proximity to Rogers, the campground and Beaver Lake get really busy during the warm months.

Park is well maintained large spaces. Some with shade over picnic tables. No sewer but there is a dump station. Lake was high and flooded many sites. Some sites have lots of yes and shade, good for summer others more open with fewer yes good for winter. Look at site pictures. It is a good 30 minute drive into Springdale, a little farther than we anticipated but worth the location.

That said, it was a beautiful spot. The views are hard to beat.
The bathrooms were really tired, but clean. The shower sucked but was functioning.
Staff we met were friendly. Lots of really good lakeside spots.
Online reservations were disorganized.
Cell reception was fine.
