During our 5-night stay the park water was off on two occasions for roughly 2.5 days. The management said that they had to shut off the water for a bi-annual well inspection and maintenance, and asked everyone to fill their tanks and use their pumps for water. Well inspections are typically scheduled events, often months or weeks in advance. There was no mention of a planned outage when we made our reservation or when we checked in in-person at the office; just a surprise. There was no offer of a discount or rebate on the site fees for not providing 1/3 of the utilities for half of our stay. The road noise was considerable on US 101 during the day; it quieted down a lot later in the evening and overnight. I’d like to recommend this park to others but, I can’t.
The first outage was for the well inspection. The second outage was for repairs to the pump. The park put flyers on everyone’s rig for the second outage stating the water would be off from 6-9 pm; it’s the next morning and the water is still off. The flyer asked everyone not to call the park office because the staff would be “engaged” but, there was no explanation about what “engaged” meant. The park office hours were also dramatically shortened.
The park has a lot of unrealized potential but, apparently lacks the funds or the vision or the will to be something truly great. The park is divided by US 101, with some sites right along the shoreline of Hood Canal, and the remainder of the sites tucked into the trees on the other side of the highway. The waterfront sites are unique; we haven’t seen another park with waterfront sites on the fjord. The waterfront sites are very close together and about half require one to back-in versus pull-through; turns are tight. There are some seasonal or permanent campers on the waterfront sites, and there is considerable “junk” sitting around their rigs. The sites across the road appear to be mostly occupied by seasonal or permanent campers. Again, there is a lot of stuff sitting around these sites; plastic tarps are hanging from some awnings for privacy; the brush isn’t trimmed. The place looks old and not well-maintained.

“No space between sites at all”

The campground is split by the 101 hwy. if you can find a spot at the water it might have been better (although right at the road without even a way to walk around your trailer to pass safely either).
The only thing nice is the fact that it’s a hook up but other then that I would find another place to stay.

VERY tight spaces, once our tow vehicle was parked next to the trailer there was barely room for the provided picnic table. At the waterfront sites we noticed a couple slides were almost touching they were so close. Don’t recommend unless you are extremely comfortable with precise backing in. Note that their site says they can move your site reservation if they need to, which they did to our reservation. We would have only had 3 days waterfront instead of 7. The receptionists was extremely helpful and very nice, she noticed that our waterfront site opened 2 days earlier and said we could move then. We left early though instead of moving mid week. A lot of spots in the wooded section (not waterfront) seemed to be long term-ers (or maybe storage even for a couple).

If you don’t mind being in tight quarters this is the place for you... pretty views, but it’s very snug...
Water front sites are right off highway 101
People are their living in their campers for months on end by the looks of it..
