Didn't use the showers so can't comment. Not a lot to choose from around here. You can walk into town for dinner from this place, at least. I appreciated the courtesy and care of the owners, and we just needed someplace to get a good night's sleep.

The only big complaint I have is the wasps in this area. There are a lot of them.

I want to start off with all the pluses; great location for visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park, both the south unit and painted canyon ( and about an hour and 10minutes drive to the remote north unit of the park) and walking distance into the delightful town of Medora, level gravel pull through site, enough room for our 25’ rig and tow vehicle. This is a campground that does everything verbally via phone. My phone experience was pleasant enough but the in person interaction was rude and so off putting that I had to give this 3stars. We did not have FHU as advertised and did not see many sites that provided FHU, we were told the price quoted was incorrect and the entire tone was more like we were a complete nuisance instead of the reason a campground exists. Maybe this person was having a terrible day, I can only go by my experience. Did not interact further with this office personnel and went on to enjoy our 2nights stay here doing all the activities we planned. I think I would find another campground if I am in the area again. You never get a second chance to make a good first impression.

Wonderful location within walking distance to the town of Medora. Clean bathrooms and showers. Water/electric hookup with dump station. Small grocery store. Wifi. Cable hookup. Friendly people help you back in to your slot. Some are tight but we had lots of room for chairs. Nice picnic table provided.

Semi level sites. Full hookups. Narrow sites. Small store at the office but not much. Best part is the proximity to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The town of Medora has a couple restaurants and several shops. It’s walking distance from the campground. There is 1 gas station in town.

We arrived later in the afternoon to be parked with our 38’ Super C & Tow in a back in site which only fit the RV; our truck had to be parked next to the RV in the area by the picnic table. Sites were mowed weeds - no real grass; also a bit muddy in areas as they also had some rain before we arrived. We had ZERO shade as there were no trees in the sites for the larger RVs (negative for me). Park was pretty full but quiet at night. Sites aren’t overly large so when we got a rig right next to us we ended up closing all our windows and using the air as they were a family with kids who were a bit loud with their windows open. The town of Medora was very nice; we ate pizza the first night at the Little Missouri Bar/Pub - excellent pizza. The entrance to Theodore Roosevelt National Park is right down the street, right by a very large park (which was a good place to exercise dogs!). Don’t miss touring the Chateau of the Marquis De More who developed the town; it’s also right across from the Chimney Park (where his Slaughterhouse and Packing Plant use to be). We also noticed that there is a really nice outside aquatics center, miniature golf, etc. also right there in town for families with kids - it looked great. We enjoyed the town; TRNP wasn’t huge or a place we’d return to; if you’ve seen some of the other local National Parks you’ll be disappointed by this one (we were).

We easily visited the park in the morning and early afternoon, returned for a rest, then headed back in for the evening. Sites are a little tight, but everything was quiet in our area. No problems with Starlink internet. Had to go into Dickinson (33miles) for groceries and fresh produce; lots of choice there. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed last week of May 2023.
Site type: Back-in, 50 Amps FHU with grass
Overall: Perfectly adequate RV park minutes from Theodore Roosevelt NP. Nice tiny town with shops to walk around. Get your groceries in the nearest large town if staying for more than a few days.
THE GOOD
Owner: Very nice folks!
Sites: Some grass and not too bad for space. Gravel pads with grass patio spaces.
Grounds: Clean with decent showers..
Gas/Food: Gas is right in town and can get some odds and ends but not a full grocery shopping.
Connectivity: Surprisingly decent connectivity. The campground wifi worked nicely when there weren't too many other RVers near us.
In town: really nice town to walk through, shop, and grab some food.
THE BAD:
Sites: The sites are all back-ins technically. Many back-ins are 2 sites backed up to one another and an be used as a pull through if needed.
WORTH NOTING (Not good or bad)
The check-ins were a bit slow just because they use manual booking (written cards) vs a computer. It's endearing but does add to check in time so just be patient. Super nice people run the campground!

We called Mary on our way in and asked about coming in late. She was so nice and the staffed waited up for us. They helped us back in to our site in the dark and made sure we were all set before they went off to bed. Thanks to them for being available and so kind.
We only needed one night. And we had full hookups.
