"Not sure what all the five stars are about"

This is one of those campgrounds that corrals all the RVs in a tight space, I guess for the sake of not running electrical lines too far. Everyone but us seemed to be hanging out for a while, though I can't imagine why you'd want to drive all the... Read more

"Great location for visiting Bathhouse Row"

I was surprised how close this is to Bathhouse Row, which we wanted to visit. We arrived at dusk, and there were still sites, and #11 was a good one. No showers to quibble about the cleanliness of! Decent Verizon and OATV being almost in town... Read more

"Funny little place"

The previous reviewer was right: the manager does like to decorate. As far as we could figure, this is a TVA managed site, not a resort exactly, but I'm not entirely sure. The signage looked official-like, but the proliferation of Christmas... Read more

"Convenient to Huntsville and a pretty drive up"

Most of CG was closed for upgrades when we stayed, so the remaining sites were very full. Strangely complicated arrival and check-in (thru a park guard gate, then check in inside a park store, and then a gate code is required). Shower/restrooms... Read more

"Some good, some minuses"

1. Arrive before dark. Maps misdirected us and little Pontotoc has more traffic than you’d imagine. Woman who manages was just headed up to lock the gate at 530 and handed off keys to us for gate and showers. Our site was concrete pad with STEEP... Read more

"It was convenient"

Got a site here last minute on Thanksgiving night on roadtrip. Our section wasn’t great. Lots of construction going on. Rental yurt right next to us with rowdy bunch around the campfire. Bath house was basic and no cleaner than it had to be.... Read more

"Not very convenient but nice"

Quite a trek thru the exburbs of ATL to get here but a clean park. Our site was steep and required a lot of leveling and there were 10 steps down to the picnic table. Showers were spotless and good OATV and decent Verizon. We blew off our second... Read more

"Off the track but quiet and cheap!"

It was after dark when we arrived on a winter night. Someone had told me on phone we could pay host directly if arriving after hours but we actually had to drive the wrong way around some barricade to get into the park. Hosts popped by later for... Read more

"Not a lot of choices but solid"

This wasn’t convenient to our route but is a clean well run RV park. Level nice site. Signs on boundary fence in back warn pet owners about alligators! Showers were clean and decent OATV and Verizon signal, free WiFi that worked fine. Lots of road... Read more

"Quiet clean well run"

Ticked all our boxes for a night on the road. Can’t imagine going here as destination but fishing seems to be the lure. Level, Zen-raked gravel site next to River levee. Super clean showers. To our astonishment a barge pushed by a tug went up the... Read more
