We stayed here Thursday through Sunday. When we got there Thursday there was only one other group there. By Friday night a lot of the places were filled on a late September weekend. We had an electric site with a paved pad. The pad had a backwards and passenger side slope. The setting at the campground was nice with a nice tree canopy and a stream. The site was a decent size. There was no Verizon coverage or TV reception. Our neighbors which arrived Friday were quite loud. They had a very loud barking dog and shrieking children. Saturday they had more people arrive who added to the noise. Sunday they were playing corn hole with the board about 30 feet from our trailer which made the THWAP sound of their bags hitting the board sounds like someone hitting the calls of our trailer. After every toss they of course had to cheer. I am not sure why anyone would think a dog which parks like that is acceptable to bring camping or a loud game like corn hole would be acceptable in a campground. There was no apparent camp host to address the issue. We decided to leave at 4pm and head home rather than staying another night be listen to their noise. It'd be great if people could use a little noise discipline while in a campground.

Vault toilets, central water spigots.
The creek is lovely, with the best swimming spot at the day-use are under the bluff.
Minor issue the second night with someone who didn't realize that the quiet hours (10pm to 6am) meant no generators. This was addressed by the camp host.

They have about 45 sites, 5 of those have electricity. When we called ahead, the host said there were no reservations. It was first come first served. However, some sites had reserved signs on them. I don’t know what that was about. We used three of the pit latrines, one of those smelled like urine. Most pads are not level. They have great fire rings. The host sold wood but said you could bring your own. Only three sites had cell service (ATT). They were on the Pine Overlook. This is tent camping only on top on a bluff looking toward the sunrise. This campground is in Mark Twain National Forest. If you have a national park pass, you will get half off the cost.
