Overall Rating
Racetrack CG is 11 miles down some very bad Forest Service and County road off of I-90 west of Deerlodge, MT. Like most FS campgrounds it's not well maintained but has two vault toilets and a hand pump well in summer. It sits beside beautiful Racetrack Creek with some good trout fishing.
Cell coverage is non-existent but a cell can be hit a couple miles down the road towards Deerlodge. There is no host so sometimes it can be noisy at night depending on the crowd.
If the road has not been graded then Bowman Rd into the CG will beat your rig to death, be warned.
