All sites had nice long cement pads, stable power and good water pressure. It is a newer park and the trees are still growing and establishing themselves. Bathrooms and laundry room were both clean and in good condition. Close enough to Munising for all of your Pictured Rock adventures and yet out of the city for dark night skies. Staff is friendly and helpful and would love to come back and stay again.

We stayed here to visit Pictured Rocks NL and this campground met our needs perfectly. It's located a very short drive from downtown Munising (with groceries, gas, and the boat dock for cruises) and the national lakeshore property begins just on the other side of town. Sites are very long and well-spaced; the owners could have packed the sites together more tightly but chose to leave more room, which we appreciated since there is no vegetation between sites. Our site was quite level and most sites in the park appeared to be fairly level. The bathhouse has a nice set up, with 6 private unisex shower rooms, and the showers were clean and well-maintained during our stay. There is one washer and dryer, but we were told upon arrival that the dryer was broken; we saw the new one being delivered during our stay. We appreciated that management appears to care about offering guests a pleasant experience. The park is tidy and organized, even on busy weekend days. Other than the lack of vegetation, our only criticism is that utilities are located pretty far back on the sites, so we ended up using every bit of our 20 foot sewer hose to dump. After seeing how crowded the sites were at the Tourist Park down the street, we were very happy with our choice to stay at Pictured Rocks RV Park. Outstanding cell service on AT&T (40 Mbps down), and the park wifi seemed to work well also.

The owner/manager is very nice, and I appreciated that they allowed me to receive packages there. This was a great location for visiting the Munising area, especially Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We did the Pictured Rocks Cruise which I would highly recommend. I work remotely and need good internet to work. Here are the results of my speed tests: AT&T 33.6 dl/6.31 ul, T-Mobile 85.6 dl/35.6 ul, Verizon 64.1 dl/9.63 ul.

Visit Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore via the thusly named cruise. Several waterfalls are within an hour drive and a short walk. If you get to Grand Marais at the far end of the National Lakeshore, dine at Lake Superior Brewing Company.

We loved out time here. The Casino is SO CLOSE it is dangerous! The area boasts Picture Rock, some incredible hikes, and so much more! This perfect location allowed us to explore the gorgeous shores of Lake Superiors. The sites were large with fire pits and affordable firewood. The sunsets each day were PERFECT!

Newer park surrounded by trees but only saplings on sites, so no shade which is not a problem when it's not in the summer. New modern restrooms, showers & laundry facility centrally located. Pull-through & back-in sites, gravel with grass (which still needs to grow into a lush lawn). As with most campgrounds, laundry rooms are sparsely equipped with only a couple units. Ideally, camps should spend the $$ for the commercial upright stainless steel large washers & dryers that are becoming common in Laundromats that can handle large loads such as blankets & rugs. This is especially true if they are charging more for smaller machines than the downtown Laundromats using the large ones. Munising has a great Laundromat with several large machines that cost less than the campground.
