The campground is accessible to all the Munising attractions. Grand Harbor Scenic Overlook, Miners Castle Upper and Lower Overlooks, Kitch, Iti Kipi, Log Slide Overlook and several waterfalls are all within an hour. We were there the last week of September and the leaves were not quite at their peak color but the area was still beautiful!

This is a rustic municipal CG, right on Lake Superior. Kind of no-frills, but one of my favorites on this trip. Hint: bring 50' of water hose. P&W hookups only, some pull-thrus. We went despite 20 mph winds and 4'-5' waves. The camera opportunities are worth it. There are water falls around too., but bring some M&Ms to power you up the steps.

This was a cute little camp ground that was perfect for our stop just past Pictured Rocks. We got the last spot that was available; the campground is first come first serve during the fall. There is access to the beach, the bathrooms and showers were nice.

While the location is great, right on Lake Superior and close to Pictured Rocks National Seashore, the campground is awful. Noise from the road is bad and we had gangs of about 30 teenagers roaming the campground late at night making a lot of noise. We we asked them to return to their own campsites they proceeded to bang on the side of our RV at midnight and then a bunch of them were looking through our RV bedroom windows. Neighbors called the cops.
On top of that the showers were filthy and although we paid for hook ups, they were not close enough to use.

Gorgeous view of the lake and beach access. Plenty of green space. The vibe is slightly rowdier than the average park, but harmless.
The hookups are inconveniently placed for most sites. We needed extension cords and two 25' hoses to hook up.
It's 15 minutes to Munising Falls Visitor Center. I wish we had more than one night here.

This is a very busy campground that is right on the beach of Lake Superior. The sites are water/electric only and there is a single dump station. They do have an area that is first come first serve which has water and 30 amp electric. We stayed in this spot and had to use a 30 amp extension to reach the post as well as 75' of water hose. We were able to make a little cul-de-sac with 3 rigs.
It's not too loud here, but it was busy. There are bathrooms and showers. The showers are worn, but have hot water and decent pressure. There are a bunch of sites that overlook the beach and lake as well as tent only sites that are right on the beach. The beach is very clean and the sand very soft.
The Verizon service is good, but intermittent at best. We had 4 bars of 4GLTE, but every now and again it would get slow. Like much of the UP, ATT was excellent. We had no issues with the 5 bars of 4GLTE; video calls and streaming weren't a problem.
We would come back, but only during the week so we could work. It's just very busy and packed.

We enjoyed our stay. Bathrooms are clean. Staff very friendly. The lay out of the sites is a little odd. We shared an electric box and water source with the next site. We had to set up closer to their site than I would have otherwise but it was a minor issue. I couldn’t get the WiFi to connect but the 4G overcame that issue

Our whole reason to be here was to visit Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and it proved to be a great place from which to do that. Site was a bit sloped, especially for a handicapped-accessible site (which we did not request and were not told ours was when we reserved, but it did not create a problem at all.) Campground was busy, but relatively quiet at night save for the busy highway noise. Great views of Lake Superior from almost any campsite. Showers had plenty of VERY hot water, park offered free, decent WiFi. Trying the local favorite -- pasties -- is a must, and Miners was very good (also get the delectable ice cream!)

I stop by just to dump and shower. The staff was so kind, lake location was so awesome, and the shower was so hot I had to turn it toward cold….. that it made me want to come back another time and stay here!
