“Camp here if you like to share your site. Park could've been so much better.”

Arrival check-in was easy, they already had our site reserved. The 2 mile road in was terrible. Plan on less than 5 mph wash-board and ridged dirt/gravel roads. They said it's a county problem but will tear up your camper if you push it (I noticed a broken brake shoe and a couple hub caps). The reservation system Montana uses charges $10 to reserve and $10 to cancel - being all electronic it's a bit steep. My favorite thing was putting our kayak in on the bank right behind our camper. We had bikes but couldn't use them without losing a filling. We didn't have any cell service so used our Starlink for access. I mentioned sharing your site (I'm trying not to be too grumpy here, but we camp 6 mo/year and this place was like one big group campsite-everyone local and knew each other) ; one neighbor (not on a waterfront site) parked their boat on the bank 7 feet behind our camper - asked her about it and I got "I didn't know what else to do", how about rent a water front site or keep your boat at the marina or on the trailer. Meanwhile her three kids tromped back and forth all day. She also let her dogs bark the whole time she was gone with her kids on the boat. The neighbor to the right had a water site but had weeds on it so she couldn't fish so she set up her chair right out behind our camper, fished, smoked, had friends come over. - I went out and stood next to her. Guess she got the idea and she went back to her camper. We were scheduled to move to PeeWee South to an electric site for a couple more days but after checking out that site with THREE boats parked on the bank at 005 it was too much and we canceled. All-in-all this place was rustic, had sooo much room but they jammed everyone in right next to each other, there was no "management" of people encroaching on your space and the roads sucked. We were able to get our fees back. So that was good. Camp here if you like to let your kids run amuk and don't mind if people use your site as their own.
