“Beautiful Scenery At Spartan CG”

Right on the water with spectacular views. The CG is a gravel bar with picnic tables and fire pits spread out. No real camp sites except for a few along the tree line. Make ur own shade as there is none. The road in is very narrow. If you meet another vehicle,someone is backing up. Definitely worth a night or two. Hope the weath... more

We were coming down from Rexford, MT heading to Liberty on Hwy 37 and looked down towards the lake and saw this place. Wasn't sure if you could camp there but thought we would at least check it out and so glad we did. The only National CG on the water on Lake Koocanusa. We got a great site right on the water. We were coming down from Rexford, MT heading to Liberty on Hwy 37 and looked down towards the lake and saw this place. Wasn't sure if you could camp there but thought we would at least check it out and so glad we did. The only National CG on the water on Lake Koocanusa. We got a great site right on the water. Ended up being our favorite place on this trip so far. There is water and vault toilets. Hosts were great. We were in a 26' motorhome. No cell! You go down a steep road to the CG which has a 15 mph and do the speed limit or be surprised by a speed bump at the bottom of road. No trees at the sites but the view is spectacular. Will camp there again.
