The app says 8. But it’s actually 16. Definitely on the water in the open so be ready for wind.

“Beautiful Scenery At Spartan CG”

Overall Rating

Right on the water with spectacular views. The CG is a gravel bar with picnic tables and fire pits spread out. No real camp sites except for a few along the tree line. Make ur own shade as there is none. The road in is very narrow. If you meet another vehicle,someone is backing up. Definitely worth a night or two. Hope the weath... more

We were coming down from Rexford, MT heading to Liberty on Hwy 37 and looked down towards the lake and saw this place. Wasn't sure if you could camp there but thought we would at least check it out and so glad we did. The only National CG on the water on Lake Koocanusa. We got a great site right on the water.
