Stayed here on our way to Colorado. I think this RV Park is probably more for full timers. Very old and run down. Extremely loud due to highway noise, semi's idling at the truck stop next door and since it is literally at the end of the runway at the Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport, there was also very loud noise from the airplanes. The women's restroom/shower house had a keypad to unlock it. But once you typed it in, you really had to beat on the door to get it open. They have an above ground intex pool. Everything is just very old and outdated here. These shortcomings would be easy to overlook if this RV Park was cheaper than our other options. But it wasn't. We paid the exact same amount at two other options in Amarillo with far better amenities.
That being said, here are the pros to this RV Park. In the site we were at, and a few others there, fenced dog runs were offered at no extra charge. It had just rained when we were there, so it was muddy, but that's no one's fault. The dogs still had a good stretch and poop. The other pro was that it was right around the corner from Big Texan Steakhouse. We didn't unhook, so didn't go this time around. But for anyone else interested, it's in close proximity. I wouldn't stay here again. Like I said, too many other better options in Amarillo.

Several spots have a designated dog run for your dog only. Nice size. There is a big rig overnight parking lot next to the resort and the engines run all nightlong. If you sleep with white or brown noise, you are in for a treat. Sites are comfortably wide. Would stay again if passing through.

Chose this campground for easy access and on the east side of Amarillo for early morning departure(missing rush hour traffic). Site was easy to find and easy in/out for a bigger rig. Loved the fenced in area on our site for our dog. Also alot of area in the back to walk her(yellow lab). We had to leave the tv on for noise to drown out the noise from the parked semi's next to the campground and the traffic noise from the freeway. That is the only reason we would not stay there again. Only 3 planes went over, but that was nothing compared to the other noise. Didn't get much sleep after a 13 hour day driving.

“Good Place To Stay Fom I 40”

We booked on the fly and got a spot easily. Bailey our host was very sweet. She handled a barking dog problem at 9 pm by calling the owner. There appear to be a lot of long term renters based on how their sites are set up. Yes, Pilot truck stop next to the park but I didn’t find it a problem. We would stay again if passing thru to AZ.

This is a great place to stay for a night or two. The park needs some love....weeds were high, grass and trees had not been trimmed in awhile, lots of things need painting, and the roads are a bit rough. In our spot 41, on the way up to Colorado on 5/30/2021, and then spot 42 on our way home from Colorado 6/18/2021, we didn't feel it was too loud. Even though the park is next door to a very bright and large new truckstop, it didn't bother us at all. My parents were parked one row closer to the truckstop each time and felt it was waaaaay too bright and noisy for their comfort level. The staff was nice, there's easy in and out access, and the site was large enough for us even though everyone's parked pretty close together. Not the worst place we've ever stayed, and not the best. They need some more groundskeepers for sure. My rate included a Good Sam discount.

Convenient one night stop when traveling. Some sites have a private fenced area for your dog which is nice unless you are next to someone with noisy dogs that are left in the fenced area. Overall campground has a run down feel to it.

This campground is an eyesore! It could be worth the money if they spent some time taking care of it and made the live ins keep there junk put away. It’s kind of like camping in a scrap yard.
The other thing is that the highway noise, the construction noise and the airport noise do not allow you to have windows open at all.

I walked the dog in a field outside the park at sunset that was full of prairie dogs. They were all out talking to each other. It was super cute.
No WiFi. 42 channels on the TV. It was right off the freeway so easy access.

We stayed one night on our way South to warmer weather. Great staff. I needed a washer for the water supply line and they just gave it to me.
It is an older RV park, but clean. Not many other campers when we stayed.
