They are gravel sites with full hookups, but no amenities (restrooms or shower house). Campground is quiet with some road noise and occasional airplane noise. Easy access-off Interstate. The campground looks a little tired.

We would feel comfortable spending several nights here. Paid Passport America price of $17 for fhu.

The office is unattended and you check yourself in, paying by cash or check and putting your payment envelope into a slot. We didn't hear any planes, but I don't know how you would with the freeway noise. There are very few spots unoccupied by long-term residents We arrived at 3:00 and there were only 2 sites left. The location is great for an overnight, as it is located right near both Hwy 287 and I-40. Sites are level, all pull throughs, and electricity worked well. WIFI password did not work and there are NO amenities. Price paid reflects Passport America rate.

The host was very helpful and nice. The pull through site was easy to get into. The utilities are a bit far but not a huge problem. Some road noise but again, not terrible. Having full hookups made it worth it! We would definitely stop here again!

My daughter was not happy seeing all the puppies in questionable living conditions at the house in the front of the property. Best thing about this place is that it’s available, doable, and cheap for an overnight. Especially if you’re desperate.

First come- first serve, so just show up if you need to stop overnight.

I wrote a review earlier and now that I reread it some of the info didn’t post correctly. In summary this place is great. First come first serve and pretty much honor system via cash or check in envelope. Loved the sound of the airplanes going over and no traffic noise. The camp is super quiet too. The people next to us left this morning and another trailer took its place and we never heard them. Someone mentioned an adult club nearby. There is one a few miles back towards Amarillo but nothing near camp. There also some steers, with huge horns, a llama and some adorable donkeys. We actually were only going to stay one day but decided to stay another just to relax from driving from CA. We went to the Amarillo Zoo and the Botanical Garden. I gilt recommend going. It’s just a little zoo but there are lions, tigers, and bears. The gardens were beautiful! We wanted to go to the RV museum but the moved from the address listed on Yelp but it was kinda far out and we had some other things to do. Oh that reminds me, I gotta go drop another check in the envelope. We use Spectrum for our wireless and it worked just fine.

Thanks to Passport America it’s only $14.00 great deal!
To us, comfort in the scorching summer heat is 50amp service, running water as well as a sewer hook up when we need it.
I grew up in Miami in the airport flight path, so the infrequent airplane noise does not bother me…. I almost forgot to mention it because we were here almost 2 hours before we heard one!

We stayed here 1 night. No attendant on duty but we used the envelope at the “office” door for our PA discount ($14). Lots of permanent folks staying at this Camper Park. They must not get a lot of overnighters, we were constantly stared at while setting up and the while pulling chocks the following morning. Couldn’t really hear the Interstate noise at night. Dogs barked constantly day/night. And your right in the flight path to the International Airport with jets coming in hot at 3,000 feet above you. Didn’t have a WiFi password, but had good Verizon service.

Nice location but scary campground, day is set to stop for a night traveling from Wyoming heading toward north Carolina . reading the review can help and the real situation inside campground is one star, clutters is everywhere junk of old parts, grass is tall , RV around look stay forever . fee per night say's $14 but only for Americans Citizen with passport otherwise $20(means not for Canadian or Mexican tourist) no attendant on site but old door. luckily "Big Texan RV Ranch" is hospitable, $40 is enough with peace of mind.
