It's $26 plus $10 for electric, total $36. So we got half off with our senior card, plus the $10 for a total of $23. It's kind of confusing. Danielle, the camp host, was very nice. You can get water across the road at the next campground up, but it's pretty tight. Danielle has jugs you can borrow if you need to. Our site was first come first serve. The FS website was not clear on how many there are, but I think it's 4. Our site had good solar and a nice view of the cliffs across the river. You can walk out the lower end of the campground to get across the road to the river. The Doctors Park trailhead is across the river. The shortcut to Crested Butte is not far down the valley, so that makes this campground fairly convenient to CB for biking, etc. If you need groceries, etc., Gunnison is preferable. There's a cell tower just down the valley, so we had excellent T-Mobile. You're right on the highway, so a bit of traffic noise and log trucks.

We spent three nights at One Mile Campground and are already looking forward to returning. Our site was level, very quiet, roomy, and comfortable with a lovely mix of sun and shade due to the surrounding trees. It was a treat to have an electrical hook up for our 30 foot trailer in a national forest campground. And as an added bonus, we were close enough to the towns of Almont and Gunnison to drive to for essentials we needed and to take a cooking break one night and have dinner at the wonderful Garlic Mike's. The campground sits right across the highway from the beautiful and currently rip roaring Taylor River where there were was much rafting, kayaking and fishing happening. The campground is very clean, with the pit toilets being the most immaculate we've sat in! Danielle was our campground host, and the care she took of the place was obvious. Best of all, she was one of those special hosts who was friendly and always available to help, but not the looky-loo, always in-your-face type. When we return, we hope she will still be hosting.

You don't get a choice about whether you want electric or not; all the sites are $30, $19 for Interagency, meaning senior or handicapped, not Annual. There's water, but not at the sites; you'll need a bandit to put any in your tanks. No dump. 30A electric checked out fine. The river is across the highway. The vault toilet is spotless. ... more

Our site was large and flat. #24 is probably the best site. We both had 2 bars LTE, yay! The host will come get your payment. IMO, North Bank across the road is a better deal.

We were tucked away here in the valley with the aspens. We could not get a site by the river, but all the sites were lovely and well spaced. We had no problem on the gravel road into the site, and the river between the campground and the highway made for a great sound buffer.

Some road noise but mainly during the day. If you go to the end of the campground and cross the road, there is a nice area where you can access the river. Once there, there are trails up and down river. We walked a lot and didn’t find the end of the trails.

Nice little campground across from the Taylor River. This campsite is one of the few in the area that offers electric. It’s on the road but there isn’t much traffic at night. Great location with lots of fishing nearby and one of the closer campgrounds to Crested Butte (20 min). Cleanest pit toilets I’ve ever seen/ smelled.
