The campground itself is packed and reservations months in advance are a requirement. But it is worth it. Spaces are generous and can accommodate 2-3 tents easily enough. The trees are tall and offer plenty of shade, though this does cause issues if you're hoping for solar to keep your devices topped off. Other campers were friendly and quiet hours were respected.
Toilets were clean and well maintained. Did not interact with the host, but the local general store's staff were friendly.

Beautiful, well spaced campgrounds, nice paved roads, clean bathrooms. Close to trails and ranger talks, which were amazing. Trees were too dense for solar.

Staff mostly friendly and worked hard to accommodate needs. A+
Site 15 has a primo view - although it is right next to the trailhead so zero privacy and noisy. People walk right through your campsite so it’s kind of annoying.
Pretty weak Verizon signal, 1-2 bars lte so not able to work or stream so download your movies ahead of time.
Good hiking trails, a variety of difficulty. No dogs or bikes allowed on the trails.
Bathrooms ok, clean, stocked.
Showers were not working = 4/5 stars.
Will definitely visit again.

Stayed 4 nights in my 20 foot campervan in site 16 which is one of the “premium” sites. Sites are shady and nicely spaced to provide some privacy. All sites are dry camping. They are not completely level, but partially level. There is access to fresh spring water from spickets scattered throughout the campground. There’s a couple of clean bathrooms with flush toilets with dumpsters available near bathrooms. This is a smaller campground so bathrooms are a short walk. Near the campground entrance there are showers and laundry and a nice camp store with camping supplies, food and other items. The premium sites face the rim with a peekaboo view and short walk to full view of the rim. There are 2 main trails around the campground that you can hike to reach the North Rim Lodge where there is a restaurant, store and multiple view sites. I was able to get 2 bars at camp with Visible that was just enough for texting. At the camp store I was able to connect to wifi. I did not see much wildlife at camp, just birds and chipmunks, but I did see a large herd of Bison in a field when entering the park, just shortly past the entrance gate. There is not much to do on the North Rim except hike and enjoy the peace and quiet. They do have mule rides. I took a 3 hour ride with a 2000 ft decline into the canyon. It was long, dusty, hot (late June) and a bit scary on some parts of the trail…..but beautiful views and definitely an experience. There is a dump station in the campground and a gas station just outside the campground.

So glad we did as it was on the outer loop. Sites 14-17 seem to have North rim views so hope to be able to get those at another time. Sites all paved but a bit uneven. No problem leveling with a couple blocks though. No hook ups but water available & dump station towards the front. Very clean bathrooms throughout camp. But camper services building (showers), toward the entrance was closed. ;-( Nice camp store with souvenirs, groceries, camping supplies & more. Did hear a couple generators but luckily, they were on the other side. Nice trails & access to lodge.

We stayed here one night in early September, the campground rate is with our America the Beautiful Pass discount. The campground is clean and well maintained with flush toilets, water, and trash containers. The shower facilites were closed due to Covid. There is also a laundry and camp store located near the entrance to the campground. Two hiking trails connect the campground to the Grand Canyon Lodge, both trails were approximately 1.2 miles in length and were easy to moderate hiking trails. We hiked both trails, had lunch at the Lodge Grill, and enjoyed the North Rim views.

Peaceful, clean, and quiet campground. The Host, Bret, was wonderful. The proximity to the lodge and facilities was great. The North Rim is a quiet, slow paced alternative to the South Rim. Afternoons on the patio after day hiking was a very social event.

We stayed here only one night on Sept. 7. Wish we could have stayed longer! It was very close to the rim with views from some of the campsites. It was very quiet and clean, but needed a little TLC just like the South Rim. The National Park is 100 years old but not sure when the campgrounds were built! The camp store was very accessible as was the dump station. There was no one at the office to check us in and no one there in the morning when we left but we had no trouble finding our campsite as I had the number on our reservation and it wasn't dark yet. We did have to drive to the visitors center and the stores at the Rim and parking was very limited, But overall it was a beautiful place and less crowded than the South Rim.

The rustic North Rim of the Grand Canyon, in my opinion, is the quieter, cooler and more beautiful Grand Canyon destination. Don’t get me wrong the South Rim has its own appeal and I've visited the area many times. The North Rim campground is adjacent to the canyon and many campsites border the rim. All campsites are paved pull-through with a picnic table and fire ring. Some of the campsites have a dramatic drop off the pavement. There is dump station onsite and potable water. Just outside the campground area are coin operated showers, a laundry facility, a gas station and a well stocked general store. Just a mile from the campground is the historic Grand Canyon Lodge originally built in 1928. At the lodge you will find a lovely dining room with killer canyon views, a deli, a gift shop, a saloon, and post office. As in most National Parks, generator use is limited to the hours of 7 am to 9 am and 6 pm to 8 pm. I recommend a drive to both Point Imperial and Cape Royal. We used our Golden Age pass to get our site half price which made our stay very affordable.
