Large camping area with picnic tables and 15 amp plugs in the main area.
Camp office was closed, (covid)? so we pulled in to campsite #2, seemed more like a picnic site right on the water!
A few cars came and left, even a police car came and left.
Princess Leah would stay here again

Nice place, however management and style have changed since previous reviews. $40 plus tax included elec- 15 amp and water. About 8 sites next to the marina.

A Canadian small town Lake Superior marina and c/g on the shores of Nipigon Bay. A Harbor of Refuge for boaters and RV’s traveling Canada’s Highway 17 along Lake Superior’s shoreline.
Traveled to this port of safety years ago when crossing Lake superior in our sailboat. Later visited the marina and the town of Nipigon when we towed our 22’ Utility power boat with our Class “B” camper van. A perfect combination for this off-the-beaten-path campground. We boondocked in the van and explored the archipelago of islands and fiords along the Canadian shoreline in our boat.
The town has now added water and electric (they call it “hydro”) sites on the marina’s graveled parking lot. They have 12 sites, but they were reserved for this mid-July Sunday night because of a local Blueberry Festival. Those sites are $35C/night.
They have boon docking space in their picnic area for which they charge $26C/night. There are showers and bathrooms behind the marina office. There is also a dump station and a potable water tap as well. Internet wifi at the office.
It is a nice quiet campground well away from the highway, next to the famous Nipigon River. If you like boats, shore fishing for trout and warm water species such as bass, walleye and northerns or have a trailered boat this c/g is ideal. The locals are friendly, it’s fun to walk the dock to look at big water boats or talk to the kids swimming off the docks.
