We stayed a week at one of the full hookup sites, located on the left side of the campground. Each of those sites has a wall of tall plants on both sides, which added a bit of privacy to what were otherwise typically-sized sites for a KOA. It was also the side of the park where the long-term residents reside. The staff and the few folks we interacted with were all friendly.
Our site had two 30amp receptacles. Both of them had slight damage around the holes for the plug, but they held the plug in firmly. We started getting high voltage from the first of the plugs one night, so we switched to the other one.
There is plenty of open desert around the campground to walk dogs in. There is a small K-9 dog park but it looks like it used to be the horseshoe area: the horseshoe pits are still there inside the dog park.
In terms of cell service, the best speeds I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna during our stay was around 35Mbps down and 30Mbps up, which was enough to stream TV with an occasional stutter. The one speed test I performed on my AT&T phone showed 48Mbps down and 3Mbps up, but most of the time my phone showed just one or two bars of service.
Not a bad place to stay for a quick layover.

We stayed one night in October. The bathhouse is clean though somewhat old. Good cell reception, though the campground charges extra for streaming wifi.

Sites are the typical desert gravel with a few trees/shrubs between some of the sites. Verizon worked great (5 bars), AT&T only had 2 bars but was usable as well. It was very windy and hot during our stay in late April. Most sites are 30-amp only, we got one of the few 50-amps sites. All are pull-through. We'd happily stay here again.

It is Needles and there isn’t much in the area. We used it as an overnight on our way east. There are train tracks nearby and we did hear the train whistle at least twice between 11:00pm and 7am. Didn’t bother us one bit.
They do sell propane on site which was a blessing for the next few nights of dry camping we had planned.

Friendly staff, well monitored by the staff golf cart. Large level spaces, desert conditions so it’s very dusty. WiFi was just ok. Lots of noise from ATVs at night playing around in the desert, which isn’t the fault of the KOA. The amenities were fine. Road in was rough. Good cell service. The KOA itself was fine.
