Overall Rating

The park is in the middle of an industrial area so there is ZERO good scenery outside of standing on your roof to watch the sun go down. It is 15 minutes from downtown Carlsbad (food) and 30 minutes from the caverns. The rates are way to high for what you are actually getting. No one was in the office the entire time. I paid an extra $15 to reserve a specific spot (that had covered awnings) but when we arrived they said it was first come, first serve. I asked for my $15 back and they said "sorry we don't know what to do about it" and "the owners are out of town and we can't call them."

The only positive thing I can say is that they had an ice machine on site that was available for all paying guests, which we used extensively since our refrigerator quite the day we arrived.

There are much nicer RV parks closer to/inside Carlsbad city limits with better or at least comparable rates.

DON'T STAY HERE IF YOU ARE A WEEKEND GUEST TO THE CARLSBAD, NM AREA
