This is a Thousand Trails campground that is included with a membership of camping pass. They do allow non members to camp there and to pay retail prices. According to their website they charge $56/night (30 amp) and $49/night if staying a week (for 30 amp). Sites at this campground are FCFS. Basically, you get a map of the park and choose a spot that would work best for you. They have back in, pull through, and some buddy sites.
The roads are sorta paved. There are some sections that are just gravel, some areas with decent sized pot holes, and other spots that have patched. At the time of this review the campground lake is dry! The news did a story last night saying that the lake was down approximately 80 feet & only about 6.5% full. There are lots of deer at the park. Some people continue to feed the deer despite signs and rules stating to not feed them.
Site R05 was a back in site with 30 amp. Power was adequate at 120+ volts. Site had a mix of sun and shade. There was some privacy due to the landscaping. There was a fire pit and picnic table. The outdoor grill was broken and laying in the bushes at our site.
The campground had a pool (not heated) and hot tub. Looked pretty well taken care of.
The campground had bathrooms and showers. These did not look well taken care of. There was water damage to some of the doors and what appeared to be moldy showers. I personally would not use these.
There was decent Verizon signal so I did not use their wifi.
This campground reminded me of a Forest Service campground with some amenities. Overall, enjoyed my stay there. It was quiet, saw some wildlife, and lots of space to walk (including some trails). About an hour drive to San Antonio to see the Riverwalk and Alamo.

Stayed for two weeks. It is very peaceful and feels like a state park. There are upper and lower sections. The lower section would be lake front property and very near the boat ramp. Most of the long term residents are in the lower section. The upper section was sparsely occupied. For two weeks we only had neighbors for a couple of nights. The $3 fee listed above was an upgrade from 30amp to 50amp. There is no lake, water, fish or boating. This part of Texas has been in a serious drought for seveal years. I am told by a local that the Lake/Reservoir has been known to refill within a couple days should the rain be adequate. There are a ton of medium sized whitetail deer and they are very domesticated. An 8 point buck plus a few six points would visit our site twice each day. A gaggle of turkeys also keep us entertained.
The utilities worked very well. No issues with fresh water, power(50amp) or sewer connections. IT is end of October and I would say the camp is less than 30% full, probably because of lake situation. The roads need a lot of work but this keeps the traffic slow and sparse.
The laundry was very nice with 6 washers and six dries. They are all credit card with a very cool app. The app tells you the current status of all the machines so yo can plan your laundry accordingly. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit dicey but the campground is secure and gated. Never had any cancer about safety. Locally, there is a small grocer store, nice gas stations, quality veterinary, and a fun bar/stage for large music events on the weekends. We camped at Medina Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Medina Lake was completely dryed up, at least the part accessible from the campground. The campground itself is huge and spread out. If you was access to the pool and laundry stay in section B. The roads could use some work. The hiking trail was nice and convenient from our campsite. If you ride, the Three Sisters motorcycle route is nearby in Medina.

This is a beautiful campground! Our site is level, quite large, and has a lot of privacy. Yes, Lake Medina Lake is almost gone (and here at the campground it is totally gone) but you cannot blame TT for the drought. The pool is huge and there are hiking trails throughout the park, and it is so quiet. The drive into the park is lovely and the heart of San Antonio (Alamo, Riverwalk, etc) is about an hour drive away. Fredericksburg, in the heart of the wine country, is an hour and 20 minute drive away, through beautiful countryside. The office staff is delightful, making sure all of our needs are met. It is important to remember that this is a campground, not a resort, so there are sites that have a fair amount of dirt, there are deer wandering around, and some of the park is unimproved. We just love it here! And a big plus is that our Verizon service works well. We have been able to stream Netflix every night using our Verizon MIFI 8800L hotspot device

The lake was dried up during our stay, but it was still beautiful views all around. They have 30 & 50 amp hook-up sites. Not all have sewer connections, but there is a dump station on site. There are tent sites, also. There are lots of amenities such as a huge pool, playgrounds, dog runs, restrooms, laundry, trails, boat launch, community center, games, basketball, pickle ball, mini golf, and so much more! Fun for the whole family. This campground does have a lot of deer around. We really enjoyed this park and the smell of nature here.

Sprint FMCA hot spot was 18 Mbps down, 1 Mbps up but slowed at times. Verizon cell phone 2 Mbps down, 7 Mbps up and gets VERY slow when it gets crowded. Most sites have tree coverage so satellite reception could be an issue. Roads are in need of repair, not horrible but definitely need to go slow in a motorhome. This is a very large park and most sites have a good amount of room around them. bath houses were OK nothing special. Pool and hot tub were closed for repairs. Sites are all gravel and ours was pretty level. Staff was very nice. They do charge $5 to receive packages.

This is a very rustic campground with families of deer. You are truly in the woods. The deer come right up to you even though I did not feed them. So sweet. I found the park employees to be very nice and accommodating. We had several nights of hard freezes and they had some leaks. They walk around to every site and told them to fill up their onboard tank because they were going to be turning off the water for repairs. This freeze was NOT in the forecast and caught everyone by surprise. Checking in was a breeze. We chose our spot and called it in. Everything was very clean. Maintenance workers were readily available when I had a dead battery. What a relief! Got me charged up with a smile! I will return. Visit Bandera and Fredericksburg. Neat towns!

We were in the upper level as the lower level was pretty crowded. We had 30 amp and water. There were sewer sites available but I didn't care for hanging tree limbs. A32 was OK as it is right across from pool\hot tub, showers and laundry. 45 minute drive into San Antonio. Everything you could want is at intersection of Hwy 16 & Loop 1604. Great breakfast at reasonable prices 3 miles away at Out of the Way Cafe on PR37. Rate reflects membership..
