This is a pretty basic campsite, but it’s right on the Potomac River and right next to the C&O canal trail.

The site was fairly level and we backed right up to the river We also biked on the trail (access up on the hill) about 2 1/2 miles to Fort Frederick State Park. It’s worth visiting for an hour.

They have a few porta potties and one that’s permanent, but no water in April when we visited. The price goes up to $20 in season.

Our RV is 9’6” tall and we cleared the entrance tunnel with about 6 inches to spare. Note that there is a train track very close to the site and a couple of trains went through overnight.
