It was a 5 mile drive down a country road to this self-service gravel parking lot. Appears to be all permanent residents & at least one rig looks uninhabitable. Still, cheap with full hookups and given the heat & humidity levels I needed the AC.
Site is long and level.

Close to interstate and a good place for an overnight stop. Full hookups with level pull through sites made it easy to leave trailer hooked up to truck for a quick getaway the next morning. Sites are close together with very little outside sitting area without being right next to neighbors sewer hookup, gravel and no shade.

So the drive to this RV park from the highway can be a little frightening if driven at night, but doable. It’s tucked away behind a warehouse but it’s a completely different aesthetic during the day. Honest John registration booth, $20, check out at 2pm. It has everything you need! Water, electric, sewer, long sites. My kids liked the playground and there’s a community garden right next to it with a sign that says something like “help when you can, take what you need”. It seems to be a sweet little corner of the world. Sites are very close together. My 1 slide came uncomfortably close to the fresh water spigot. Neighboring RVs are maybe 10 feet apart. Some trash around in gravel but not filthy.

We stayed during the off season and everything was covered in snow. The self services was nice and easy to use. Easy to contact staff when needed. Clean bathroom and shower on site. We only used the electrical hook up because of the snow

Self check-in (honesty policy). Loved that we could hear the frogs croaking and birds chirping instead of loud trucks and the constant sound of traffic. There is a single bathroom/shower unit available for use (shower is $1.00 for 15 minutes). Plenty of space for walking the dogs, and a small playground for kids. We will stay again when passing through MO.

It currently has one bathroom and one shower (shower cost a $1.00 for 15 minutes). There are a couple of washers and dryers as well. The Park is fairly close to a train track (no big deal for us). Give Lloyd a call, he is super easy to work with.
Yes, the RV Park is by an old abandoned school house. But Lloyd along with the locals are trying their best to revive the little town. The old school building actually has an Old School Store with some camping goodies and miscellaneous items.
Take the time to check it out and say hello to the owner, Debbie. With in walking distance you also have two other places you can hit; Michelle’s Place (we had a great breakfast) - say hello to Nikki; and, Breakroom Saloon (we did not stop by but heard it was good).

They converted an old school/school yard into an RV park and they have a lot awesome of plans for the future! They sites have full hookups and are super easy to pull through. We arrived later in the evening and had no issues getting set up quickly.
Lloyd, the park manager, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He even offered to meet us in the town and guide us back to the park (though it's not hard to find). They have a bathroom, laundromat and a cafe/store. Almost all of the lots were full and the other RVers that we came across were super friendly. Truly a wonderful park and we will absolutely be back!!
They do allow dogs, on leash, and when we visited, the grassy area with the kids playground had burs. The other grassy areas were fine, so just be careful. We're hoping they convert the old baseball field into an off leash dog park :)
