Overall Rating
Lots of amenities - laundry room ($1.00 wash; $1.00 dry) had a commercial ice maker. Unisex bathrooms/showers were clean. Grounds well kept and has a dog park that used to be a ball field. Nice playgrounds for kids. Long concrete pads and most of the RV’s were large. Sites with shade appeared to be for long term. Some of the other sit... more
Lots of amenities - laundry room ($1.00 wash; $1.00 dry) had a commercial ice maker. Unisex bathrooms/showers were clean. Grounds well kept and has a dog park that used to be a ball field. Nice playgrounds for kids. Long concrete pads and most of the RV’s were large. Sites with shade appeared to be for long term. Some of the other sites had a metal sunshade over the picnic table; ours did not.
FamCamp currently is short staffed and the on-site office temporarily closed. Staff at on-base Outdoor Rec said phones often weren’t answered as emphasis was on serving walk-ins.
We look forward to staying here again as Maxwell AFB is now our daughter’s new duty station.

Nice place to stay. Quite full however so reservations are advised. You will want to enter the base through the Maxwell Blvd gate because most of the other gates are either closed or only open during certain hours. Also, if you have others with you besides the vet you may have to get a pass and they are only open during regular busines... more

You will want to enter the base through the Maxwell Blvd gate because most of the other gates are either closed or only open during certain hours. Also, if you have others with you besides the vet you may have to get a pass and they are only open during regular business hours.The cost was $24 with a $2 add on for my dog.

Overall Rating
If you have access to the military base this is a nice place to stay with full hook ups. Clean, great amenities and friendly staff. Prices are $24 daily, $135 weekly and there is a monthly. Stays up to 3 months only. You will want to make reservations the park is pretty full. Some are retirees or travelers and some work on base.
