" the Columbia"

Nice park on the Columbia River. There is a nice dry camp area that's flat and good gravel. Boat launch is available. Small Mouth Bass fishing is excellent as is other fishing in season. Currently, salmon fishing is slow and sturgeon is catch and... Read more

"Great dry camp, good fishing"

Nice dry camp. Other campers were clean, quiet and respectful. (unlike I've heard the other columbia river spots closer toward portland. homeless, drugies, etc.) Fishing was good for small mouth bass (up to 4#). Walleye fishing was slow but... Read more

"Just a port in the storm"

No kidding, we hunkered down here because there were tornado watches and definitely a high wind advisory. No tornado's materialized here but it got us off the road and out of the winds. Never saw anyone working, just self registered and dropped... Read more

"Good pricing, Nice Folks"

We popped in for just one night but we ended up staying 5 days. They have a happy hour out in the center of the park at 4 p.m. daily. Everyone seems to come to this (and most are not drinking but just socializing). We met another couple that we... Read more

"Not for people with dogs"

This is a nice enough park with a small lake and lots of green grass. Too bad that they bill themselves as "dog friendly" because this pond/lake and all of this green grass is forbidden for the dogs. There is no dog run and dogs are not allowed... Read more

"Undiscovered Little Gem of a Park"

We just stumbled onto this county park on our way to check out the Falcon State Park. The state park costs $16/night + $3 per person but this county park was free. There were water hookups and no real site plan so you could just camp anywhere.... Read more

"Very Nice Free Camp Sites"

We stayed here for about 5 days while we waited for our mail to catch up with us. Camp spots were clean and seemed to all have fire rings, though we didn't have a fire there seemed to be no restrictions against it. Sites are right on the little... Read more

"Nice little Park"

Very nice l'il park right next to what could possibly be the world's smallest casino. ;-) Located at MP 54 1/2 on AZ 86. At $19/night (or $86 for a week) with full hookups (minus TV) it's a good value. The spaces are a little tight in if it's... Read more

"No Frills BLM camping"

This is your typical no-frills BLM camping area. This is a huge area so there is room to spread out some. We're here for the RV show and are totally amazed at just how many RV'ers are within a 10-mile radius of Quartzsite. This area is a flat... Read more

"Typical BLM free spot"

This is a typical BLM no frills campground. Dry camp w/ no services. It's right behind the VFW bar but is not affiliated. Some camp spots are in the trees and there is plenty of sticks etc for firewood. The treed area adjacent to the camping area... Read more
