This was a nice place to camp as far as location and it was super quiet except for the one set of campers. Many of the sites are walk-in. I actually couldn’t find a drive in site so I took a walk in site and stayed in the parking lot (I have a van camper). I didn’t cook obviously. There are Vault toilets only. This was a nice place to camp as far as location and it was super quiet except for the one set of campers. Many of the sites are walk-in. I actually couldn’t find a drive in site so I took a walk in site and stayed in the parking lot (I have a van camper). I didn’t cook obviously. There are Vault toilets only. It is actually the trailhead for Tahoe Rim Trail Big Meadow. I would definitely stay here again. Just get there early.

Gates locked on arrival (both enteamces). Still able to access toilets and parking lot from east side. May be able to tent camp inside the locked gate. No information online regarding closure, but likely due to Humboldt-Toiyable NF still being under winter closures due to 2023 large snowpack.
