Lovely parking lot with plenty of flat areas, some other folks camping in it, but plenty of space when we arrived (at 1am on a Friday night) which was a welcome relief. Full bars of cell service with AT&T without any booster. There was a pit toilet in pretty good shape, but there was no toilet paper in late October. We car camped, bu... more

There was a pit toilet in pretty good shape, but there was no toilet paper in late October. We car camped, but I know tent camping is not allowed, and there was a sheriff that arrived to drive through around 9am. If you're planning on tent camping, you'd probably be fine if you left early.
Located in a lovely and convenient area, and the highway noise isn't terrible. :)

Nice fairly flat area. Just. A little road noise but when staying in your truck you barely hear it. I put the yeti cooler under the tailgate corded to the hitch. Closed up the gate and hatch. Truck started rocking around 9 with a bear on it. Put the cooler in the truck then. Yeah I know……..
Good Att coverage.

Not far from Lake Tahoe and plenty of flay concrete parking.
Toilet and lots of room for the dog to explore. Many hiking trails to walk on.
It's not free. $5.00 day use plus 1.95 connivence fee.

Stayed here for the Tahoe 100k trail race Sept 2018. It was a great parking lot to overnight in. Super quiet, the PCT within walking distance and a pit toilet. I had read to call the SNO-PARKS hotline to get permission. They said camping was at our own risk and we should be ok staying there. But after 4 days we had a tag on our window by the local law enforcement telling us to leave.
