“It’s Fine But The Worst Of The 4”

This spot is right next to the boat ramp and very open to the road instead of being set back. It’s not a busy road but the other spots are much more sheltered from…well…everything.

Overall Rating

Nice campsite to stay at when you want to get away from everybody. Didn’t see a single person out there and you can’t hear any man-made noise out there. Make sure to bring a screen house as there are a number of flies. Other than bits of trash here and there, it was a nice place to stay for the night and would do it again!

From Hwy 98 in Carrabelle turn north onto Hwy 67 (Tallahassee Street) and continue for close to 14 miles to the well-marked dirt road on the right for the Womack Creek Unit. Follow the well-traveled road, which turns left then right as it becomes Log Cabin Road, about 2 miles to site #23. Please review the overall map for campsites at Tate's Hell State Forest.
