This spot is easily the best one of these four log cabin sites. Finding level can be a little complicated but it’s there. The site itself is overall very level but those little undulations will slow you down if you’re particular for level. Anyway, the spot is open nearly all the way along the river so the view is spectacular. The river has a little traffic but not much. A huge oak tree stretches over the site. Ample firewood is all around to build a small fire (if allowed) and sit in a chair with a cocktail listening to the grasshoppers. It’s dry camping all the way.

From Hwy 98 in Carrabelle turn north onto Hwy 67 (Tallahassee Street) and continue for close to 14 miles to the well-marked dirt road on the right for the Womack Creek Unit. Follow the well-traveled road, which turns left then right as it becomes Log Cabin Road about 2 miles. The road comes to site #23. Turn right and follow the road to site #24 on the left.
