My family of 5 and all our friends come out for holidays and summer fun! We are usually the loudest ones out here. Rose rock doesn't have a beach area but we like it better than the Little Axe camp. We have enough service to stream Hulu and other services, but video calling is difficult.

There is no privacy as your neighbor is like 20 ft from your coach. Saturday was noisy, but the rest of the week it was really quiet. The park needs attention as the main road is filled with potholes. The bathrooms are nasty. The camp host was amazing. There was another campground Turkey Hill. This campground has paved pads, large spaces for larger rigs.
There is over the air TV. AT&T 5G super fast. Verizon LTE worked with no problems streaming and internet access.
It’s a nice park near Norman and OKC, but it’s run down in desperate need of an upgrade.
The sunsets are amazing!

Stayed here for 3 nights in May 2021 in the Hickory Hill RV loop. Review is based on that section only. As others have mentioned, this is a large state park with multiple campgrounds located on various sides of the lake...choose your destination carefully when mapping!
Pros:
Lakeside sites
30 & 50 amp full hook-up available
Only 20'ish minutes to Norman; 45 minutes to OKC
Ample opportunities for water activities
Big-rigs OK (but definitely research your site before reserving!)
Cons:
Rough, narrow, pot-holed roads within campground loop
Long grass/weeds between sites
Goose droppings everywhere
Hilly terrain
Sites fairly close together
Crowded on weekends (to be expected due to proximity to Norman)
We had a lakeside site with 30 amp full hookups, so I hate to complain...but due to "cons" listed we probably won't return. Met our needs for a spot to stay for a visit to the OKC Museum & Memorial which we highly recommend.

The $34 rate is for a premium site with 50amp service. The park is well maintained and the camp host stopped by to check me in when I showed up. Very quiet site on the lakes edge with plenty of hiking and bike trails. I’d stay here again.

First time taking out the R.V. We reserved a slot late in the evening and someone else in a tent had already taken it. We were able to find another slot. Busy on Sunday but cleared out by 11. Lots of trails and outdoor scenery. Electric and water worked well. Overall very satisfied.

We only needed a one-night stay but I would have loved to stay longer. Arrived on a Sat night and there were lots of people, but it was still quiet and beautiful. We booked at Little Axe and unfortunately, we did not look at a map when entering the Park address on the GPS. That is for the office, which was 30+ min away from that particular campground on the other side of the lake. Since there are multiple campgrounds there, be sure to look at a map before booking online. And that is the only downside—the website is prehistoric and it takes forever and you HAVE to use it, either ahead of time to reserve a spot or once you get there.

Very level backed up right to the water. A nice picnic table and fire ring. The spots are close together but it was still a really nice area.

Bathrooms and showers were usable but not great. The sites on this camping area are improved tent camping only. They do have nice level pads, a firepit/grill and picknick table on each site. We drove through all the tent camping areas around the lake the day before and South Dam and Little Sandy were the only 2 we would stay at. All the others were trashed, run down and had filthy bathrooms and showers.
