Best to come via E. Robinson St. Waze sent us to North Porter Ave which is the side entrance to the new camping area with paved pads. These are clean, level, back in slots. Full hookups. There are many sites on gravel you would think with electric only.
We called ahead to check on an RV slot. Staff assured us there is room, just show up and choose an empty site. Gates are open 24/7. Camping is $35 per night and it can be dropped off in cash or check in an envelope into a secure Dropbox or pay in person from 8 am to 5 pm. We stayed one night as it’s an easy hop off of I-35. Weekly rate is $210.
The only noise is occasional sirens as the hospital is across the street. There seems to be some cut through traffic going around the new paved camping area but that died down in the evening.
We would definitely stay here again.

Looks like brand new concrete pads where we were with full hookups for $25 is a good deal. This is first come first served and we got there around 4:00 with only 2 sites in the new area. There were a couple more available in the gravel area. Just a one block walk to Braum’s for burgers and ice cream!

Golf Course is near I-35 and Robinson St.
Plus many grocery stores, hardware stores very close by as well..
Propane can be purchased at "OLG" Propane on 12th Ave NE & Main St about 2 miles away.
And if need, the Hospital is just across the street!!

We stayed here so we could have new, improved brakes installed on our RV. The installers came to the RV to do the work. The RV park is first come first served. Many of the sites are not available right now since they are renovating the entire campground. We were able to get a 30 amp site with FHUs. Right now the park is just a gravel lot with some sites. No amenities other than the hook ups but convenient to get the work on the RV completed and nice that they allow the installers to come to the campground. Both ATT and Verizon cell signals work well. We got just a few OTA channels on the TV but didn’t bother to set up our portable Dish since we are only here two nights.

Campground was about half to 3/4 full. All the way at the end by spot 34 is a full recycling center but no dumpster. Good location to stay near OKC without all the city noise and bustle. Sites are very easy to back into with tons of space to straighten out. Lots of 5th wheel trailers. Everyone kept to themselves and was quiet. Not really a camping spot it seems though. No one has tables or chairs put outside.

When you arrive, there is a sign to pick out a site and take an envelope, then write down your site number and put the cash with payment back in a lock box. But some of the RV sites are very far away from this sign, so you might have to drive back to pay. It wasn't clear when we arrived (since we didn't see a map posted) that there are sites along the road that goes to the side entrance of the park, which are easier to back into. The sites near the main entrance look a bit tight to maneuver with a big rig. Once we found a spot, we found that we had to share a pedestal with the rig next to us, which meant it wasn't convenient to hook up and had to use multiple hose extensions just to reach it. Also, our neighbor had somehow taken up multiple 50A plugs, so we had to use the 30A with an adapter. Fortunately it was a cool day so that was fine since we didn't need both ACs, but just be prepared in the summer months. There were some questionable rigs there, and lots of dogs running around without collars. It was also noisy all through the night with road noise. I would not plan on staying here if you want a nice stay, just as a one night stopover if needed.

This is a good place if you need to be in Norman for business. There are no facilities and sadly no storm shelters. There are no walking trails, paths or sidewalks. Grass is available across the large parking area. Sometimes my poor dog couldn't make it that far and had to pee on the gravel. Some sites are asphalt and some are gravel. Some are 50 amp and some are 30 amp. Good luck guessing which are which because there isn't much rhyme or reason. Only the numbered spaces (1-34) have sewer but there are electric and water hookups behind the arena also. The middle parking lot seems available for boondocking. There is a dump station. This is county property so city police do not enter. On occasion a sheriff deputy patrols. I have seen homeless persons in the area but they are most likely harmless. The biggest negative is the close proximity of the hospital with ambulance sirens going night and day. There are quite a few long term RVs parked here. Some are real clunkers but many nicer rigs with short term folks, too.

There were a decent number of rigs here when we were, but we never actually saw another human being. The hook ups worked great. Though a wifi password was listed at the kiosk, we never could even find the network, though we were parked on the far end.
This is about 1.5 miles from campus, which is why we were in Norman, so it was VERY convenient for hopping in the truck and going where we wanted to go. There was a grocery store (and a few other fast food type places) within walking distance. It was very quiet. I can't say it was super clean, but just the random bits of trash the wind brought through. No facilities, but full hook ups. There is an office if you need to talk to someone (we didn't).
The high ratings are primarily for the location - close to campus - and the lack of any real negatives. Oh, also, on the fairgrounds they have a massive recycling center, so you can get ALL your recycling done. Yay!
