“A Nice Surprise”

Overall Rating

We stayed several nights in the Beaver Cove campground in site number 25 which backs right up to a peninsula out into the lake. The site was level and the electric hookup worked fine. We were there in mid-August during weekdays and we had the entire Beaver Cove campground to ourselves. It might pick up during weekends, but there was nothing but peace, quiet and us during our visit. There is limited shade around site 25, and with it being August, it was very hot, so if you are sensitive to the heat, you may want to opt for a treed site within Beaver Cove. The vault toilet houses were clean and well stocked during our visit and there were several dumpsters throughout the campground for your refuse. Although we aren’t alumni or fans of Oklahoma State sports, it might be a real kick to stay at this campground in the fall on a football weekend and catch a game. It looked like the stadium was only about 6-miles from the campground. ATT cell coverage was adequate, and from our campsite, StarLink was smoking.
