This was a single night stay for us so easy pull through, clean restrooms, beautiful lawn and stream for walking the dog made it a special break for us and our pet. There was plenty of shade and other visitors were quiet. It is near restaurants and other conveniences. We would definitely stay again.

Our site was perfectly level, side to side and front to back. There's a family-owned Mexican Restaurant across the street with excellent food & margaritas, too. I highly recommend Highlands RV Park and would stay here again for sure. If you're a Good Sam member you'll get a discount, too.

We loved the ease to get up to Small Lake & Sabrina Lake, gorgeous and a must see!! The roaring creek, and the waterfall, beautiful drive.
If you don’t mind a disaster air horn, the ones used to warn for tornadoes, waking you up daily at 6:30am then I recommend this campground. No idea why they must test it at that hour instead of mid day when everyone is awake, simply rude and inconsiderate but not the campgrounds fault.

This is a basic overnight place. Clean but old restrooms. A really good value for the cost. My only is the trees blocked my satellite.

Of the three RV parks in Bishop, we chose Highlands RV Park based on reviews. As most of the reviews state, the park is well maintained, the staff is friendly and courteous, and the sites, the sites are what you would expect at a pull-thru KOA. Asphalt pad, surrounded by dirt, with a small broken concrete slap and picnic table. No pool or other amenities other than laundry. This is definitely not a destination park, but an overnight stay and get up and get going in the morning. Fairly quiet other than the Fire Department across the street with its noon day alarm and summoning alarm for the volunteer fire fighters.
The majority of sites that outskirt the park are long-term, working-class individuals with a variety of RV’s, equipment trailers and variety of junk.
We stayed over the Mule Days festival and were required to pay for a minimum of seven days. We left after five. We personally viewed the other two parks and found them much worse than the Highlands, so you really don’t have a choice. Just don’t set your expectations too high!

I only negative comments are As follows.
No staff on Sunday and Monday, which made for a bit of Confusion for people that had questions or were checking in. Also, and this may or may not matter to other people, but the RV park does not provide veterans discounts. On Tuesday morning when the office staff was in, I mention the lack of veterans discounts, and the woman behind the glass said “If we gave them to Veterans we would have to give them to everybody“. Kind of like a sour taste in my mouth.
The park Is corporate owned and then management company Deeter, West polite when I contacted them regarding the above issues. However, there is no access to the actual owner, Deeter would not provide the name.

Highland’s RV is a well kept commercial park with mostly pull-thru sites that will fit almost any rig… but it can take a little maneuvering as others have indicated. The sites are just wide enough for an RV to fit between the pads, but there is plenty of room for slides on both sides. Site spacing is about average with limited privacy, but the owners are really helpful and easy going (ie. park wherever you need to and offering options for whatever sites they have available). Our utilities were easy to reach and worked well during our stay, but again, as others have said, we had to watch our positioning, parking so that we could put out our slides without hitting.
They sell propane, offer a bathhouse and laundry, and there is a small grassy area for dog walking. I only tried their WiFi briefly, and it seemed pretty slow, however, our Verizon worked fine without the booster. This is a great location for accessing Bishop, and the owners are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Their rate is $50 a night, and they offer a Good Sam discount, bringing it to $45.

Yes, the sites are 20ft wide, and you are close to your neighbors. But we're only here in the late afternoon or evening. Neighbors are generally friendly. The park is comfortable. The real attraction is the area recreational activities (FISHING!!!).
Overall, a great stay every time.

Nice people.
Clean restroom and shower.
Clean laundry - 1.50 per machine.
Location, just north of Bishop, is good too.
But site is too cramped.
wifi on site is spotty. cellphone service (verizon & att) is one or two bar. not fast enough for streaming at all.
