“Such a peaceful spot for a night”

Reviewed May 17, 2019

Overall Rating

This seems to be a quiet small little town. The overnight camp area is at the edge of the park near the pool. It is a cement pad marked for 3 spots. one of which is marked for handicapped tucked in between 2 pine trees. It is very tight parking, we had someone else pull in and they are just a little over a foot away, we are both in Class C's. There is a power box with a donation box attached. We didn't need to use the power so I can't comment on it but the box looked in good shape. This is May 17 and the bathrooms are still closed for the season so I can't comment on these either.
Our over all experience is a good one. We would definitely stop here again if passing thru this area. It is so kind of towns to offer a place for those of us traveling to park for the night.

“Small City Park, quiet, quaint”

Reviewed Jun 28, 2015

Overall Rating

Harrison, NE is the quintessential small town with a population of about 250. The town park has two spots for campers. 40ft spaces on gravel. 50/30/20 amp power and water. No sewer connections.

Verizon was 4 bars and 29/13mbps down and up speed.

There are clean restrooms in the park.

There is a donation box next to the power pedestal.

On the main street there is an interesting county museum with 5 buildings. One of the buildings is an original house in the original location owned built and owned by the Ward family. It was the second telephone exchange and also a creamery. The telephone switchboard looks like it could still handle local calls.

Further east is Fort Robinson State Park. Must see if you have kids since they have lots of activities including horse and carriage rides.
