Big open gravel lot just 2 miles from Mazama. Easy to tuck into a corner and have lots of privacy. Lots of hikes nearby.

LOADS of room. This Sno-Park is 2 miles from Mazama, 11 miles from Winthrop and 20 miles from the east side of the North Cascades NP. There are loads of bike trails, one right from the parking area. You can bike to Mazama completely on bike trails.

Large Area To Park And Maneuver A Big Rig. I’m A 30’ Class C Towing A Van Which Puts Me At 52’ Long and even though it’s a gravel lot I had no issues getting in and out. There was about 5 other campers, mixture of vans and rv’s even one tent camper.

I assume this is temporary. It seemed like a convenient spot. Easy access. No Att service. Most of campground in area are closed as well due to fires.
Bear creek is also closed.
But we would definitely try here again.

Arrived for a weekend in march. Some snow on the ground which was preferable than the muddy sides. It was fun to watch the snowmobilers arrive advd unload their toys to play in the mountains. Crud County skiing right from the lot to the Mazama store for breakfast!

Hard to get level, empty in the day, packs in as sunsets with sprinter vans and tent campers. Tons of trails, climbing and biking around.

It was difficult to get level in some areas. We were the entire way down in the front and the whole way up on the Anderson blocks, however not every spot on the lot is like this.
Small grocery store down the road was expensive, but close.
There is a spot right before this on the left and one right after on the left. I would scout the 2nd spot if you’re in anything big, as there is no where to turn around once you pass it. A few spots up the forest road doable for cars.

“NO AT&T at. all. - even with hoping really hard”
Reviewed 8/10/2020
It’s pretty, toilet on site, good location to NP, big rig friendly, gravel drive in good condition with some wash boarding, but you’ll be off the grid 100% if you have AT&T.

We stayed here in June 2020. 45' motorhome with no issues maneuvering. All paved roads in until the last 1/2 mile or so.
