After touring the fort peck dam we drove to the campground We chose the area away from the boat dock at flat lake Off to the right on the bluff. Up from the pit toilet Nice view either side rv’s parked but no one was there Probably camp there all summer no one bothers you Quite

Beautiful spot. we traveled from Medora (Theodore Roosevelt NP) going to Hvre on ur way to Canada.
Beautiful and quiet. We were the only ones there except a couple oof fishermen that came in for the days.
A few picnic tables an two vault toilets, but if you are in to dry camping- boondocking, you’ll love this place.

We stayed here for two nights in August and really enjoyed it. There are only a few spots to camp with picnic table and fire pits. The spaces are fairly large and we were able to put our 24' trailer horizontal to the lake for incredible views. We stayed here for two nights in August and really enjoyed it. There are only a few spots to camp with picnic table and fire pits. The spaces are fairly large and we were able to put our 24' trailer horizontal to the lake for incredible views. During our stay there was a heat wave in the area so unfortunately, we did not have electric plug in and we didn't want to run our generator late because of campers next to us. However, both days/evenings there was a good breeze coming off the water and we slept with our door and windows open, so we could hear the water lapping at the shore which was so peaceful. Great Interpretive Center and we took a Powerhouse tour and then visited the spillway. All pretty cool. Would definitely stay here again and....it's FREE!!!!!!!

great spot right on the lake. swimming, fire pits, fishing, boat ramp. incredible views and free. there seemed to be a lot of traffic because of the boat ramp. general store is just a couple miles up the road. was here in mid august and the weather was beautiful.
