Friday night off-road vehicle rigs pulled in and camped right across from where I am and they're having a big rally. Dust everywhere loud music till 1:00 in the morning and started again at 8:00 in the morning. Go ripping right past my rig have no respect. Maybe if you are a teenager and wanted to come out and party it'll be okay but for somebody that wants to get away from noise and people this is the last place I'd ever recommend coming to him

Free camping at Cottonwood Canyon BLM provides up to 14 days free camping. The Cottonwood Canyon BLM free camping area is ultra scenic. In this video, I show you several large campsites located just after the cattle guard upon entering this Bureau of Land Management (BLM) free dispersed camping area on Cottonwood Canyon Road. The area near the cattle guard entry is obviously used for target practice which is a detractor for this free camping area. Lots of dead wood ( cactus and small stuff) but be careful, cholla cactus everywhere you step. You have to drive through State Trust land, to be safe I spent the $16 earlier in the year and keep the permit in my Jeep.
The sunset was to die for, and again, its great to spend the whole weekend as you can go right to the rock art, or left to Rymert. The roads are marked pretty good.
High clearance recommended.

I got woken up at 6 AM by one driving by. Overall, there are good views of the mountains and lots of space, but the noise and wind make it not the best spot to camp. Would only recommend staying here a few days max.

There were many rigs camping and off road vehicles everywhere. The camping spots are fairly close to each other and it’s hard to find a private spot. The worst thing was that people were shooting guns from their campsites from literally 0630 to sundown. Keep in mind I love guns and support responsible ownership. It was hard to relax and we felt unsafe due to the lack of firearm safety by the idiots camping. I would only stay here again as a last resort. On the upside, it’s a beautiful area and easy to access with all types of rigs. There is great cellphone reception with Verizon and AT&T.

Great camping. Very quiet, yes some atvs but it wasn’t crazy! You can definitely find a private spot and it’s easy to get to. Just be careful on the road but I saw all types of rigs there.
